Can't get Search to function...

The Search function on the main site doesn't work for me. If I want to do a restricted search I just get taken to the browse page again.
ie. If I want to search for "Sakura" but only in Series, I check the Series box, type Sakura, hit search and get taken to the browse page
If I want to just search artbooks and click that box and hit search I still get taken to the browse page with everything visible.

BUT, if I click on the icon by the left then I can look at just Series, etc.

Any idea what's going on?

There is no separate search page; the browse page just has a search function built in.

If there are no results, you will get an empty browse page.

The category checkboxes on the browse page are broken, and have been for a bit; it's on the list of things to do.  You can add the appropriate GET parameter to the url if you like in the meantime.
