Kira is full fanservice, no plot at all. Animation style is also different, but hell, enjoyable cute girls are enjoyable cute girls :)

Just to see Rena and Rika!!!! I'll watch anything ^_^

Hi there, I'm just wondering;

Those two seasons of Higurashi that are up on Bakabt, those are the best copies available on the internet, right? (In terms of sub and vid quality)

It's because, I'm the kind of viewer who loves downloading BD or Bluray quality anime 1080, 1280, even 720 when all else fails. So I'm kind of sad because the quality is so low, but if it really is the best around, then I'll take it.

So it is the best copy available, right?

Thanks!

This is a fairly old show - there are no HD copies of it, because it was never animated in HD AFAIK. So yes, DVD quality is the best you'll get.

BD Quality is only on the Hira season, pure fanservice for 10 year of success and anniversary.
The actual show is like Bob said, only on DVD, Season 2 I believe has Dual Audio.

What is the Hira season?

So the two seasons here on Bakabt; "When they cry - Hirugashi" and "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai" are the best qualities around, I see.

What do you mean by Hira season being on BD? Is that one of the OVA's released recently?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, it's the Anniversary OVA season, much like Rei season from which 3 first eps are final chapter and 2 last eps are fanservice. Kira season is purely fanservice OVAs, all the girls in full HD quality in swimsuits or just being silly.

Oh man I'm caught between a rock and a hard place here, someone help me out.

So I had a resolve to watch Shiki after Another, but then I remembered Higurashi.

Should I my watch order be as follows:

1. Higurashi when they cry
2. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai
3. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei
4. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira
5. Another
6. Shiki

How should I go about this? (I'm hoping to fit some Amagami SS or K-ON S2 in between to tide me over, since all of those seem kind of dark? I guess? XD I don't want to be desensitized alright?)

Also, what is "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gaiden: Nekogoroshi-hen" I'm using Wikipedia as a basis for the episodes while cross referencing them to whats available here on Bakabt when I came across this.

Kind of a bummer how the best Higurashi releases are all 720x480 or worse. XD Ah well it is an old show.

Thanks! :D

that order looks perfect, i'd definately recommend higurashi first, it'll chuck you right head first into the deep end - a good feeling. that nekogarashi-hen thing is just an ova you can watch that fits in anywhere in the first season of higurashi
I'll get round to it someday. SOMEDAY ffs

Nekogoroshi-hen goes between Kai and Rei, I think, though it's just a silly little OVA, and not really important. Likewise, Rei and Kira are 90% fanservice, and are really not all that interesting, so you may want to give those a miss too.

Out of curiosity, I noticed the S2 of Higurashi here on Bakabt is [DVD] (on the files themselves) which probably means they are uncensored.

I'm just wondering, obviously the S1 of Higurashi on Bakabt is the best there is on the internet, just wondering if its uncensored of anything, since it is a violent anime I guess.

Thanks a lot <3

Should probably edit in order to avoid double posting before someone that matters comes along and tells you off for it. :P

I'm having trouble finding this anime by Exiled Destiny outside Bakabt (Exiled Destiny does not have a download link on their site!), would anyone mind recommending this exact same torrent but not on bakabt? (If there is any)

I'm only asking because I do not want to mess up my ratio (which is looking pretty awesome now) but that 8gb is going to bring me down a few points.

If there really isn't a substitute, I guess I'll just buckle down and download that 8gb (of non free-leech) anime.

They're all inter-related, and there is a reason for all the different arcs; they do all link together. Once you've watched both seasons, you'll understand it all. Although the eventual explanation is slightly disappointing, IMO (despite being basically the core point of the series).

the first season is like all the questions, the second season is all the answers. just know that, as explained above, they all link up. rika stabbing herself gets explained later, watch her closely :3

Ahhh, so the first arc of the second season explains the first arc of the first season, is that it?

That's cool, because I found it strange how in the first arc of season 1 Mion and Rena did not know detective Oishi (they're asking Keiichi "who are you talking to?") while in the second arc of season 1 Mion and Rena introduce Keiichi to Oishi.
