Hahaha, it doesn't make ANY sense until season 2. Then all questions will be answered.
But honestly, it doesn't need any answering. Just take it for what it is.

really too bad this series is probably getting relegated to back burner status till that comes about then or the 2nd season comes out stateshide which i dont even know if it got licenced yet

Thought there used to be a larger Higurashi thread...anyway, the Rei OVA wasn't as bad as I thought, the first episode is the off putting one, but the rest are just as good.
Episodes 2-4 has a good story.
Episode 5 was interesting in a way, the best part of it was (click to show/hide)Rena's "USO-DA!" out breaks! similiar to episode 2-4 there is one scene with her when she talks about the dismembered murdering, crazy Rena is awesome and scary :D

ive noticed a lot of specials and other things dont show up on ADB, is there a better site for looking at everything released for a series? myanimelist seems ok

so anyway.. that OAV, where does it fit into the regular viewing? after season 1? season 2?
im starting to think there wont ever be any DVD complete for Kai so im considering saying f it and gettin the regular tv version so wanted to sort out where this oav sat
also are there any OTHER specials or extras i may be missing? i notice myanimelist shows some kinda dvd specials 1 min each or something
