Im downloading the box version of it now. Im assuming that it is subbed.
Im not sure where i got this dub from, I jsut saw it on my HD and started watching it.

There's also the Ayu release on BBT, which is fansubbed / not dubbed. But I"d really recommend The Triad's release. Best subs out there, better than the DVD subs imo. (The Higurashi DVD subs were from the same translator and subtitle writer that were behind the lackluster Kannazuki no Miko DVD subs.) Only drawback is that the A/V quality isn't as good.
I always viewed the "not making sense" part as one of the charms of Higurashi S1, especially the early arcs. After all, a 500-page mystery novel isn't going to explain everything in the first 50 pages, is it?

lespecially liked in the S1 : (click to show/hide)The arc with Rena and Shion/Mion, but Rena's Arc is especially interesting because Rena and Keichi altough enemies they were able to reconcile, at the end of the arc it all went pretty much happy, but it just had to go wrong anyways
l really like Higurashi, the games are going to be fully in english for the PC in october 5 from what l read, unless l mistaken something, anyways, l'm willing to play the game :]

Stick with it, to be honest storyline wise need to watch the second season before things start to make sense. But love it soo much cute little girls but ....,
Brutality with a awsome storyline quite sad too. Rika so cute too (click to show/hide) Looks very cute at the end of the second season when she grown up and talking with Takano as a child <3
