She has only 3 stars!

She is not a General, but a General-Lieutenant.

There are only 2 people with a rank of General in Norway, one is the King, the other one is.... well currently a guy.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

Anyway, why does anyone care? It's nothing new.

Out of 7 major parties in Norway, 3 of them have a female leader. Equal rights in Norway and all that.....

Oh, but I think there's a difference between being a civilian leader and a military leader. Services and all that.

The mere fact that she served the Norwegian military 'till retirement age and achieved a lieutenant general rank is simply astounding lol we don't have many women like her.

Still fapping?

You know it would be nice for once if women that entered the armed forces of any given country fit the following criteria:

1) Moderately attractive
2) Not gay/butch

I'm all for equal rights, but that also means you need equal performance.

She better kill a few fuckers.
This is your home now. So take advantage of everything here, except me.

At that rank? Probably killed a few to get the rank, once there I suspect there won't be much more personal killing...

You guys quibble that much? Here (in the US) 1-star is Flag Rank and even a 1-Star General (a Brigadier General) or Admiral (a Rear Admiral(Lower Half)) are still called Generals or Admirals.

The linear nature of your Euclidean geometry both confounds and befuddles me.

When talking about things like promotion, yes.

Because the thread makes an impression that she got the highest rank, which is not the case.

I know that for you asians it's a big thing that woman is in any kind of leadership position, but it's really an everyday thing here. Really.

Lol, you know, nowadays women has better chance at getting employed than men. At least in Korea. We've seen a lot of exodus of young women from rural to urban areas receiving good quality education in cities occupying luxurious white collar positions while men are bogged down by what they call the 'greater possibility', e.g. military service.

For example, the CEO of Samsung Electronics, the biggest electronics company in the world, is a woman.

I got it wrong. @_@ It's actually the chairwoman of Hyundai Group who's woman. lawl

I dunno who's in higher position, if it's the CEO or the chairwoman. But I don't care, both of them look too lucrative to be entrusted to a woman if Korea was too male-dominant.

And Korea doesn't have many servicewomen. At least, not someone who's as high as a general. But I don't think it's necessarily because of Korea's preference to men; the women just lack the perseverance and the humility to take up such a down-to-earth occupation.

Col. Nathan R. Jessep in A Few Good Men

"There is nothing on this earth sexier, believe me, gentlemen, than a woman you have to salute in the morning. Promote em all, I say, because this is true - if you havent gotten a blow-job from a superior officer, well, youre just letting the best in life pass you by. Course, my problem is, Im a colonel, so I guess Ill just have to keep taking cold showers until one of you gals is elected president."
