Almost there, not there yet.

Me and couple of my co-workers were talking about this. Sooner or later we'll have our own personal computer that'll fit right into our hands. We're talking about having the super-fast computers with high-tech video cards and what not. Not some ... junky stuff that's on the market. Yes, even iPhone and whatever else you wanna name. This is like, far far in the future. You'll pretty much have it as the size of a phone and you click it once and a hologram would display and lets you access your computer automatically. We can dream, right?

Tatsu, me and a few friends were talking about that but not cellphone setup but on a watch setup, also we were talking about how they would integrate phone into watches. It was mildly funny but a quite interesting convo.

Well, sure. Our cellphones aren't as good as the current desktops, but they'll never be. They are loads better than a late 80s PC, at least. I was merely stating that a dictionary isn't really that complicated. A flash card can hold a theoretical amout of Terabytes of data, and it's the size of a nail.

The big problem with the current types is the heat that comes with small devices, as well as the problem of manufacturing things smaller than the nanometer-scale. Of course, there is likely to come forth new technologies in the future. I think a large computer will always be able stay a huge step in front of small computers from the same era, though. I find it hard to see otherwise. What might be possible, is that computers could become so good that in practical daily use, consumers would not see the difference between a low-end and a high-end one.

Because they were amazing 10+ years ago. Now, we can download the same thing into our phones, PDAs etc. for a low cost/free.  This wasn't readily available back in the day. In fact, I believe the software for this to be put on a PDA was about 100+ dollars ON TOP of the fact those things were several hundred dollars if not a thousand dollars.

I'm telling you the generally accepted view. >_>

Korea - along with Japan - is the leading world pioneer in electronics, quantum physics, and fiber optics technology, and the leading producer of transportation and electronic/computer consumer products. Korea has the fastest Internet network worldwide.

This thread was Japan > America, no?

I say, if Korea's tech isn't better than America's, then Japan's ain't either.
