Btw, PS3 is the best blu-ray player due to it's updates, and having CELL as the core processor. It's so pretty ...

Dam you, they discontinued the PS2 playing PS3 over here not long after it came out so I missed out on getting it.

We actually had to get on train to be able to buy a 60gb ps3. There were none around here even second hand.

Not making the newer versions back compatible is the only thing that pissed me off about the ps3. But not to worry, my 8 year old heavily used PS2 still works. But playing ps2 games on ps3 would of meant I wouldn't have to worry about my 8 year old controllers or memory cards dieing and trying to find second hand ones and the games would load quicker ;)

We have a ps2 as well. I think buying the 60gb was just because they're becoming rather rare now. And its nice to have everything in one package. (Might magic the ps2 to my  studio and watch DVDs on it...)

I have to tell you this.  I'm an Audiophile at heart, and I would have never have bought a PS3 as a blu-ray Player, but now the new one has the DTS decoder built in and the Master audio Pass through i'm a fan.

IF you are a HT nut like me.  The New Slim Line is the only way to go.  Plus it run a lot cooler and it has nearly NO fan noise.  Which is BOSS!!

ARGH why doesn't mine have these features, is the DTS decoder and audio pass able to be firmware updated or are they hardware capabilities.
