playstation 3 as a blu ray player - any good?

Uh doesn't the PS3 have a universal PSU?
And if it doesn't, a transformer/converter that can supply 200-300W of power is NOT cheap.

Umm... don't be stupid and just buy a power cable from your region? There should be no problems after that?

I mean, seriously. If I cannot use a DS charger from North America in Hong Kong, but can use the European one there... Then buying a PS3 power cable in Europe... should work, no?

i just wanted to report that i bought the ps3 slim last saturday and that i'm really happy with it! everything works perfectly fine and blu rays look just sooo good on my new tv! :) *happy*

so many thanks for helping me with the decision to buy a ps3 :)

Now all you need is a logitech Harmony Remote with PS3 interface, and you'd be set for an amazing HT experiance :)

you could just use the PS controller, though after 5 years of play stations i still don't know what button does what when watching movies.
