How people with ADD and ADHD use it as an excuse why they did something wrong. Last I checked that is a attention span disorder, not a I just shot you with an airsoft gun because I was bored disorder. That just gets annoying, it is like when a guy says he is really tired and then says he can't sleep due to insomnia. Come on if your tired you should be able to sleep, I have insomnia and I know I can sleep when I get tired I just have a hard time when I'm not which can keep me up for a few days at a time.

Generally for us, tipping with coins is ok, but nothing smaller than a quarter. Also, we have 1 and 2 dollar coins. So unlike the states, those are considered ok "as coins".
Over here in the states we used to have a one dollar coin. I don't know what happened to it but they went out of mint a few years ago and I haven't seen them since xD. We also have a half dollar with Kennedy on it but everyone keeps it just because they look cool :). I hate how US money is green and white, reminds me of those old green and black computers :P. Seems like every other country has nice colorful paper money.
Hey those terminals were great fun, I don't know how you can compare them with money. Also I would say the money is starting to gain more color finally, and if we keep adding more and more we make it harder for those bastard printing it illegally lol.

I'm sorry... but picking up FRESH and CLEAN and unadulterated American currency last summer... It smelled like crayons. I was like WTF?

Not really in circulation currency doesn't count. :P Canada has a half dollar that is still minted, but no one uses it. It's still legal tender, but it's not used on a day to day basis other than collecting.

lol the ADD ADHD thing. I always retort with.... nah... you're not that. You're just stupid or a dumbass who has to make excuses. But be glad. You don't have a medical disorder. (Or some type of paraphrase)

@fohfoh
Yeah, it's not like used money smells any better - -. US currency starts smelling like stale human after a while if that makes any sense. Wow, that sounded creepy :x
@Klocknov
The last time I used one of those terminals was maybe around 5th grade at the local library. The first time was probably in 1st or 2nd grade playing a math version of pacman (number munchers?) You'd go around trying to do arithmetic and some bogeyman would try to catch and eat you; that thing scared the crap out of me xD.
ADD and ADHD seems like it's so over-diagnosed especially amongst boys :(. It's not their fault the classes would bore the best of us. When I was a kid, prior to the ADD diagnosis craze, my parents checked me out for ADD. Turns out I just didn't care about my classes, something that lasted straight into college xD.
General study requirements for college piss me off. I will not go into a job that will require me to exercise my knowledge regarding literature or art so I should not have to drop the thousands of dollars to take these stupid required useless classes. If I only had to take the classes pertaining to my major I could gotten out of college in two years instead of four. However, I then probably wouldn't have taken intensive Japanese which turned out to be the most fun class I ever took :).

I was also checked for ADD and ADHD and the doctor said I didn't have it. Though I still don't get why I hated P.E. so much, I always was super active, but for some reason I hated getting graded on it. Hell I use to ride my bike to and from school and then do another ride after school before I  came home for dinner. Also I always had my mum bitching at me, if I tried to work on a day schedule she would bitch at me for sleeping in and if I did a night schedule she would bitch at me for not being awake during the day. I performed better on the night schedule also, my grades showed it, yet she still bitched... Parents, sometimes you just can't understand them.

Oh that is another pet peeve of mine, I hate when people bitch at me due to how I sleep, it is the most annoying thing to be bitched at about. I have insomnia, my sleeping pattern isn't going to be the cream of the crop. Nor do I really want to change it to fit with other peoples just so I can say hi to them when I get home from work.

Sounds like me as a kid, accept it would be the roll of paper they stuck on the bed all sitting on the floor due to me unraveling it.

That's awesome :D.
@Klocknov
Don't know if my roommate was an insomniac but he was nocturnal for sure. While I was sleeping he would be up playing Persona on the the PS3 and when I got up and did a little GTA4 he'd be sleeping xD. He also ate garbage (candy, chips, etc.) and still managed to stay under 140 despite little to no exercise, damn his genes...
I've always thought I had a sleeping problem because I just didn't seem to be able to stay asleep as long as other people. I operate normally with 5 hours of sleep and have trouble sleeping any longer than 7. Recently, I saw on a show that people who sleep 5-7 hours are normal and tend to live longer than those who sleep +8 (show is called Penn & Teller: Bullshit). I also can sleep through relatively loud sounds but if you say my name I'll snap awake o o.
I can't stand people who let their dogs take a dump in your yard and not pick it up. Then it leaves a yellow splotch on your lawn :(.

lol yeah. My mom was getting me checked out to see if I had ADD.

Anyone else have friends who think that your existence should be used to fulfill them in the case that they "fail" to meet some kind of requirement? "I forgot my jacket, give me yours."

I've had friends and family do that, luckily half the time the only reason I'm wearing the jacket is because I didn't have room to pack it in the bag due to rain, or it was raining.

I hate people like that. Grow the fuck up and don't rely on your parents to walk you through life.

"I drive a BMW!"
"Yeah, that your parents bought. That and you drive like a sissy."
"Gas is expensive."
"Fuck you. I bet you don't pay for insurance. What's 100 bucks a month? A phone bill? Stop buying expensive brands."

I wish I could afford a car full stop!

I can say that I haven't had to ask my parents for any money in the year since I moved however, and they're holding £500 of my own money just in case I do hit financial crisis.

I would like a car to satisfy one of my other pet hates however, people parking in front of your house. There is a guy who likes across the road who parks his big van right in front of our window. I'd love to be able to stop him

Yeah no kidding. I decided not to bother with driving a car though I renewed my license recently. Gas on top of insurance is too much for a my wallet; college turned it to Swiss cheese :(.
@Klocknov
I don't have any friends like that. Instead I have a few incredibly well off friends that don't know what to do with their lives. Their lives are so good at the moment that they have no drive to improve it.
@kurandoinu
Get some caltrops or a spike strip and put it in the spot :D. Is it one of those large, white, windowless, generic rapist vans?

If so better grab the gun... :P

Another pet peeve, people who talk like they're gangsta or something all the time. And continuously pepper their speech with f'this : /

What is a highway maintenance van doing in a neighborhood road? Shouldn't it be off maintaining highways xD?
No kidding, I hate guys who pop their collar and say "bro" or "bra" all the time. Well, I don't hate them, I just find their appearance extremely irritating.

That brings me to another pet peeve, PULL YOUR DAMN PANTS UP, NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOUR DAMN UNDERWEAR! (sorry about the yelling but grah) oh and nothing says fashion like tucking your shirt into your underwear...

What about super sluts who get mad when people look at them? Like... wtf are you retarded and not know the point of what you're wearing/not wearing?

Regarding the above gas tank thing. I'm talking about people who wear 2000 dollars worth of crap on their body and then complain about filling up a 40 dollar tank of gas. Don't buy that shit and fill up gas for half a year. It's not a hard concept.

I went to college with one of them. Great thing is that he wore the same pair of Nightmare Before Christmas boxers all the time, and we knew it was the same pair because they had a hole in the arse.

LOL. Never really got the point of patterned boxers since you wear pants over them. Then again, there is a certain novelty knowing that Snoopy is girding your loins.
@fohfoh
Yeah that's just stupid. They wear attention whore armor yet whine about getting stared at. Besides, if no one decided to stare at them they'd just wear something even more slutty. I think we should look at them more and make them feel so uncomfortable that they put on normal clothes again.

I live in MA, so no WASL. Instead we have the MCAS, the horror of Massachusetts education. Schools no longer teach to a sane, rational curriculum. They now teach to the MCAS. Schools no longer care if you know math. It is now about passing the exam. No one is even trying to hide it.

My pet peeve, right now, is the fact that too much of the research funding goes to MCAS education and no enough to everyone else in my college department. I troll research group meetings trying to show off so that I will look better when I have to beg a prof to take me as an *UNPAID* researcher in hopes of one day getting funded. At the same time, I get emails every month or so about the fact that I will have money thrown at me if I work on computer assisted learning. If only I did not hate AI...
