Coming 2010 Jan, we're also getting the expansion they're adding to the Japanese community so it's hassal free to us.

The first game was a major hit. It's an RPG with 100 hour gameplay, it's 1080p native resolution as well and they went all out on the Blu-ray disc (50GB). I forgot what other nice features it has. Oh yea, the gameplay is also CG. Pretty damn nice I'd say. 100 hour gameplay for an RPG (storyline, excluding side quests). First half you'll spend your time trying to find the princess or rescue her. I don't know about the second half. It also has Japanese voices with English subtitles, which is a must in my book.

EDIT: After looking into the frist game theres one thing that two player reviews agreed upon. That is that if your looking for a great singler player rpg this is probably not the best choice, but if playing online is your thing then White Knight Chronicles is alot better. Not sure about this tbh, problem with online rpg's is being unable to play when u like or even turn off when u can't be bothered anymore (Im not gonna go deeper into explaining that). I'll see what they say once it gets closer to the release date.

From what i've read and understood it seems the original problems were that the games main quest required almost zero leveling/powering up to complete. Yet at the same time the side quests were so hard that only having other players fight with you could you even attempt them.

But if all thats gonna be fixed then i might have to go get this afterall. It's supposed to have excellent character creation and customisation of skills.

They're fixing those problems. The major ones are the online from what I heard. So our version will have the "fixed" stuff. The Japanese one will also have an update similar to ours. We're also getting an expansion within the game itself as the Japanese will have to download it (no idea if they have to pay).

More news -- http://www.vg247.com/2011/04/08/white-knight-chronicles-2-picked-up-for-us-release/ -- The game will release in May for Europe so more than likely it will release in the US in May as well. Very, very good news!

Also, they've remastered the first game and included the -expansion- game (WKC2) within one disc. So pretty much it's fully loaded. You can skip the first story and head over to the second story for Western release.
