Student 'taunted' into teacher attack

This was the most interesting line of the article. It seems out of place. I didn't see any allegations he was a racist mentioned anywhere.

A crook will always stress they aren't a crook, after all.

The whole thing makes me go "What?" Odds are the teacher was an asshole. He should, at the very least, be investigated. This probably won't happen. The fucking college ends secular teaching on Friday nights and promotes religion out the ass. What the hell are they doing down there in Australia? One of the largest Adventist churches in Australia right on campus? "Over the Sabbath hours students are encouraged to attend a variety of religious programs." What? "The subjects Christian Studies I and II (or substitutes)[8] are required for all students. The first covers salvation and Christian belief and lifestyle, while the second has a more specifically Adventist focus." What? Then he stresses he isn't a racist? Fishy.

He didn't want to join the military. He wanted to escape it.

You sir, are horrible at understanding anything...

First of all... we weren't in the class room at the time of the incident, so how do we know the tone or exact wording used? 

I quote from the first page,  "Avondale College teacher David Warren woke Chung as he dozed in his Japanese class on March 2, warning him "you'll be dead" if he slept while the North Korean army attacked."

Nowhere in there do I feel a taunting tone of voice...  Therefore you're "HEY SONNY BOY YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!!!" is sadly mistaken. 
(I'm not saying the teacher handled the situation correctly, but the student's actions were not just)

Also, the US isn't such an anarchist country where if anyone says anything bad to anyone else, they're going to end up dead...

You say, "I merely reflect the reality of the cold harsh world that we live in."  When I really just want to have a justification for being an asshole.  I believe Ghandi said it best when he said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

You also don't understand the concept of "An eye for an eye", as according to you, me writing this has grounds for you to kill me... because I (probably) insulted you in some way.  (Another Ghandi quote, "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind")


Anyways, I'm done talking to you... as I've come to learn there are some people who just aren't worth the time.


(Also, thank you to darkjedi and mgz for pointing out that he had to join the military.  I was thrown a little off by that since I didn't see it in the main article)

Thats one isolated case. ONE. If we had the insight to know that every man who wolf whistled and cat called and said lewd things to women on the road was then gonna go and rape them, the rate of crime would go down a lot because we'd know what was gonna happen beforehand. But thats not how the world works in the slightest. That guy who seems so nice in your office and never has a bad thing to say? He's just as likely to go out and rape a woman as any other man. Just because they cat call and things does not mean that they're gonna do anything on it.

Heck, in the UK its almost tradition for a builder to stare at women, cat call and the like (I do often wonder when the actual building work happens however!) If every man who did that had marked that woman as someone to rape later then I think psychologically a lot of women would be very messed up. But idle words do not make the person, its the actions that they then perform that do. And it takes a very fucking twisted individual to track a woman down afterwards because of that.

As for what was said about the teacher that was stabbed, as far as I can see he made one comment about the guy being killed if he slept like that while in the military. Guess what? The teacher is right, and I can imagine that if he'd done that during his time enlisted they'd have been a damned sight harder on the guy.

I'd hate to think that someone who could so easily bring a knife in to school and stab his teacher was being thought of as the good guy, but here we are, with morons saying that he was completely in the right. It's unbelievable. Stabbing someone is never the right fucking thing to do, and the kid needs mental help or at least anger management lessons, as it sounds like you do to.
