A question considering "licesed" anime.

So for what reasons is so-called "licensed" anime banned from tracker? And what does exactly "licensed" title mean here?

The things banned from the tracker are the titles licensed by companies that have sent C&D orders to the site in the past.

The reason its banned is becouse of the legal issues i suppose. Licenced means that someone own the rights of the works, and you may not copy them.

read the Wiki, stay quiet. Else psyren or some other creature of death will eat you and lock youre tread :P

Every anime has a legal copyright owner. And in general whole this tracker is illegal (as almost any other BitTorrent tracker). However only some titles are banned.

So why are admins (or whoever started anime banning program) concerned about it? It's not like these companies are actually able to affect BakaBT anyhow (unless they are living in some stringent law country, such as Saudi Arabia -_-~)

1) We ban some licensed anime from the tracker, because the license-holders send C&D letters to our site host and we have better things to do with our lives than deal with legal bullcrap.

2) Licensed titles here and on the wiki are in this context taken to mean anime licensed for distribution in N.America.
