Can someone please explain the fundemental emotional and philospical implication
Onoz:
Behind Beserk?
Its so non apparent within seconds of viewership.
Is this anime just a vehicle for gore and sadistic tendencies?
I'm not into revenge plots at all.
I think I downloaded it because I heard the fights were epic. But it seems to just sensualize violence and the prohibition of man
I dont think there's anything really epic about that.
I mean I'll watch it if someone can make a case for it, but otherwise. Eh... I'm dropping it.
Havoc10K:
detachable dicks ?
NaiveEden:
"fundemental emotional and philospical implication"? I watched the anime, I cant say i know of such implications though.
For me it was pretty boring, lacking story with a really bad ending and characters who make stupid decisions, but the action wasn't so bad. Wouldn't recommend this though unless you don't have anything better to watch :-X
Havoc10K:
if l had to choose :
Umineko no naku Koro Ni
or
Berserk
l'd still pick up Umineko ;]
Onoz:
yeah I was asking about fundamental emotional and philosophical themes, what was it trying to say at the conclusion?
VIOLENCE RULZ?!
Anyway I get the basic jist, story sux, kilkil daddy issues kilkil
Searching for vengeance, redemption and powerkilkilkil
Sadistic stuff like this just bothers me, no matter how epic the action or violence.
I have to understand the opponent or the ceaseless bloodshed just bothers me
I liked black lagoon a whole lot, inspite of some of the cliche moments.
Especially that gunfight in the first episode where remy is just wigging out with a smile on her face
But that wasnt really glamorizing violence, more like giving visual implication that she was a product of her environment, and that she really didnt have any kind of problem with it.
It set precedent for the story.
But P.S.
That cigarette kiss in episode seven "Calm down two men" was one of the COOLEST romantic symbolisms I've ever seen in visual media. I remember watching it on my tv at like three o' clock in the morning just CHEERING at how they didn't degrade remy into some punk ass tsundre bitch. Yet still kept up her emotional progression and developed the relationship further.
LONG LIVE Black Lagoon.
Well, some of it.
It's funny how they just feed Remy's aggression by just FEEDING her gun fodder.
Like she's their pet or something
