5 Centimeters Per Second

The artwork is great, but one must realize that it's not a very exceptionally surprising movie. For that reason, it doesn't excite or awe anything. Not to mention, the movie is so consistent all the way through, it's very easy for someone to miss the climax and other aspects. Not to mention, I found the story somewhat shallow.

It's a great movie if you want something calm and relaxing. Also great if you don't want to use your mind to try and unravel anything.

HOWEVER...

If you want excitement and action. You'll hate it. If you want to try and apply philosophy, psychology and logic... or try to unravel the story and find multiple layers try something else.

Apparently different sections use different VAs, like Ayaka Onoue and Yoshimi Kondou. However, neither of those two actresses have ever done anything else aside from 5cm. Now, I'm going to go out on a limb, and assume you weren't listening to Hilary Haag, Erika Weinstein, or Tara Platt, who have all been in a lot of shows.

Yea, that's about right. It relates to me so that's why I liked it a lot.

doesn't relate to me but for some weird reason l do like this movie, l wasn't expecting anything so maybe thats why l didn't get dissapointed in the end, the ending is a bit off cuzl was thinking how nice it would be if they ended up together, biut that wasn't the point of the movie and the story, this story is different, yet so common around Japan is what l feel, l mean, in reality, who of you all didn't have a similar situation ? you meet a great girl or boy and this seem nice but they don't go well enough and fate throws logs at your feet, this story isn't exactly what l been through a few times in my life, but l was in similar situation 2 times, when l think back, if l stopped at some point and turned around, l would probably be with that girl l meet those many years ago, it's such a typical story world wide actually that it's kinda comforting, this movie is good, if you didn't get this movie then you still have a few ways to go l suppose.

ahhh, now that l thnk about the past l feel like calling a few ppl and setting up a meeting to reminisce :] how nostalgic actually :)

Thanks Tatsu for getting me around this movie :]

oh tomoz l'll work on those pics l posted in fate topic, this is probably the last post for at least next 10 hours,

I liked it a lot.

Mainly because the movie wasn't focused on who the characters were, as I found it to be myself as the main character and not whatever his name was.  That's the kind of connection I felt while watching the movie.  Granted, it does help that I grew up with a girl that I pretty much knew from birth.  I ended up moving to the other side of town, then to a different town all together and we just kind of drifted apart since then.  I didn't really think anything of it until I watched 5cm.

Also, my parents were divorced a few years back and my mom moved to Florida with my little brother two years ago.  We still talk, but not as much as we used to.

I was going to add more about the negative opinions, but why bother?  We all have our own views that we form out of our own individuality  ;)
