the ending was indeed lame
but the jokes where good
if this was just a regular episode then it would have been briljant but this was really anti-climax

Glad he met Kurimu in spring: Kurmiu's family name is Sakurano (桜野), Sakura are cherry blossoms, the representation of spring.
Glad he met Minatsu in summer: Minatsu (深夏), Natsu means summer.
Glad he met Chizuru in fall: Chizuru's family name is　Akaba (紅葉), the kanji can also be read as Kouyou, which represents leaves changing their colors during fall.
Glad he met Mafuyu in winter: Mafuyu (真冬), Fuyu means winter.

There could be a more detailed look, but this is what I could come up with.

Also, anyone thinks it's worth hunting down all of the references mentioned in this series?

I would thank the guy who does really
it would be word a blog to name them all
in a way is nice to know which series they think is worth refereeing to.
because we are just fans from practically anywhere
but the are animators themselves and writers so it is nice knowing there opinion

Nothin like a late night xmas anime drunk as hell.  just finished it, the ending was indeed lame.  I was wayyyy off on my prediction.  I really hope theres a nother season, the SURPRISE anime of the  year.

Not a bad ending I guess. Wasn't great either though. I liked the Sora no Otoshimono reference at the end about the flying panties. Overall it was a fun little series to watch.

I think there will be a season 2 with the new guy in it as well maybe. I would be disappointed if he was bought in at last minute just so Ken could tell us about how he met them.

I love the bride part of the episode. I would have done exactly the same as Ken in that one. So cute how that scene went.

I would have also loved a good ending where Ken trips and kisses new guy by accident. Ending with them on the ground and we look up at Mafuyu who already has the camera out all the other girls are stunned and flash of Mafuyu camera goes off and starts the fade to credits. Brings in a new season and ends the previous one on a good note. But that is all assume there is a second season.

Probably not though because I don't think they have much material to go on any longer apart from the others confessing to him.

Your ending is 10 times better than the real ending.  Just watched it over again (sober), and I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope there will be a season 2, but...

the last little bit when the teacher says "there's really no second season" can be true or sarcasm, hopefully its sarcasm.

as for the material for the show, the spontantiety of the jokes this season seems really easy to replicate.  it's got that Family guy feel to it where any topic or joke can be hilarious or just 'meh'. 

If there IS a second season, i do hope that all the girls eventually confess, or pull off a cute moment like Minatsu

if yo uwant to follow the anime references in this hsow, it's around 32 shows, from wich you can pretty much make out most of them if youre a fan of anime since year 1995 or longer, most of the shows having referenced are easy to guess, the most recent ones are the ones l can't make out as l'm not watching all newest anime (around 10 of them) but since l'm watching most recent anime shows, l guess only the few, naming all of them would be however dificult for me.

Just watched the three last episodes to this series. It ended pretty much like I expected. I like the fact that they at least made an effort to kill it off, instead of just ending it like most episodic anime. I liked some parts of episodes, but all in all I thought it was mediocre. It was never really exciting or funny across the entire episode. It just had a couple of good moments here and there.

The characters spawned possibilities for some great spin-offs (perhaps even official ones).

altough they made references to at least 32 shows, there are thousands of them to go around, what the yreally need is character development and story, because altough this is gag comedy i talso has a lot of drama, story need progress, they will need some more into it to draw fans, it won't be that hard tbh
