l found it interesting, went through the game without mashing buttons insanely.
personally l think SSF2T is the best SF game ever, it has the best characters cast and l find it more enjoyable tha most other SF games.
Adding full 3D to the series indeed made more drooling than actual update to the game series, and in order to keep fans into the title they started adding new and new characters, basically from the original 12 characters there is like 20+ of them now ? or more ? seriously thats sick even for me, the story is old and it seems like it keeps repeating itself over and over with new characters and their background being added, with every new game you get at least 1 new character but not to make it seem bad they subtract one original character of old character so it seems ballanced, then they add some super bad guys from breedery and you are "WTF"
also how many lives does Bison has ? l mean, hes been even killed by X-Man, and hes still alive, after SFA series l lost the interest completely in this series of constant failures, because altough l like some characters from this game, it's not enough to make me drill further.
Consequently Toshinden Battle Arena first game in my opinion was the best, the follow up games were, altough better looking, they didn't bring much into the story and backgroung much, so they alse had no choice but to add new characters as well, so l didn't like it.

oh hells no SF2T wasnt the best...IMO its the one i like the least out of all of em (except SF1). it was broke and not much fun to me. it was the first one i played but thats it.
Bison IS dead in SF chronology he died sometime between SF4 and SF3. since 3 is after 4 (story-wise) he'll proly die soon or get a new body. before SF4 was made he died at the end of SF2 since akuma rageing demoned him.
Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike IS the best one. Though it has tier/balance issues it was the most fun. SF 4 is a lot more balanced making up for its lack of fun new things. Its too much like SF2turbo, they shouldve made it more 3rd strike-ish.
The alphas were pretty damn good too. in order from best to not best. SF:3 3s, SF:Alpha 3, Alpha 2, EX+@, SF2:HD remix, SF2T

Later SF games got more technical, and they probably wanted to remake the series in a more simpler matter. So being more Turbo than 3s or Alpha 3 aren't unexpected.

hmm, would have been neat if they could bring Garuda from EX into SSFV. He's pretty much my favorite EX char =P Spikes ftw.
