I watch it out of habit. But now, I'm really into Japanese and Korean and Taiwanese dramas. It was the next stage in addiction.
Animeroine to Dramaddiction.

18cm sounds more like it lol

Why's it so wrong to try to trim myself? ???

Well he missed it by six, I give him credit there.
Viseroid:
What drew me into anime was probably the unique humor possibilities that are open to anime and not to live action. Anime is free to exaggerate and be more bombastic about things than a live action show. I never got into the live action TV show scene much, except for My Boss My Hero. I screwed over a few people's finals study schedules by telling them about it the week before xD.
Maybe anime was/is my refuge from stress. I began to really get into anime during college; seems like with all the crap I put up with from classes I just needed a break from the world and anime was just that. During times of lower stress I would enjoy real life more often and wouldn't watch anime as much.
SomeoneElse:
I remember borrowing Akira from a guy at my school back in 1995 and thinking... Oh my god! Where do I get more of this! then on my next trip to London I found a shop that SPECIALIZED in Anime... only problem was it was ALL either demon hentai or tentacle hentai... (bluuuuargh) and that was that until I came back to the U.S.A. and they had the whole netflix thing with some REALLY bad anime... and then I found the internet fansubbing.... and... well... that's when it was over... Watched a lot of stuff... worked on subs for a while... got tired of the scene and got out of doing subs... started scanalating manga instead... getting into the doramas now... it's a love affair with a foreign culture really...
The person who surprised me the most... probably my son, who is now 11... he said
"I'm sick of all this crappy anime they show on Cartoon Network."
I said "What is your basis for comparison son?"
"Oh, I watch the good stuff on crunchyroll."
and then we started conversing in broken halfassed japanese... It was HILARIOUS... but I never figured he would get past Pokemon and whatever else the crap they play nowadays without my help...

My Math teacher. I went to his homeclass to ask a few things and spotted that he was watching there (if I remember right) K-ON :P
Just when I stepped in the classroom, BANG! He quickly hided the window where I noticed Mio. :P
I didnt want to mention anything about it that I already seen it :P
