President Obama wins 2009 Nobel Peace Prize
Onoz:
No, I'm not naive enough to think that they're unimportant. This conversation got out of hand with the american bashing and talk about blowing each other up.
I know its just nerd-rage but I hate it when people cant come to consensus about their feelings and just instantly jump to talking about violence.
I'll re-edit my post so its more accurate and less ragey a little later.

Meh, you don't need to hate it. This is an Internet forum.

I just get sick hearing about it EVERY day on the news. How horrrible a person he is and all that.
I dont usually get upset and nerd-rage but what do people want?
It was him or McCain-Palin
Ick.
Plus all the talk about weapons and blowing each other up made me harbor some serious resentments.
We're all inhabiting the same earth. It just seems kinda silly to me.
Anyway I'll nix the nerd-rage.

YEAH. 2008 WAS CRAP EITHER WAY IMO.
McCain is a piece of shit. Palin is ... "WHAT THE FUCK?" - that's all I can say.
They should have taken a moderate, who bent the rules a bit ... is willing to work - AND - has some values when it comes to the money we all work for - ( namely Romney )
Want to know what the whole fucking problem boils down to? FUCKING CHRISTIANS. Goddamnit. They were pissing, shitting, and whining: "OMG he's a MORMON! I can't vote for thaaat donchya know. Let me vote for a fucktard and a complete total retard moron idiot instead. YES! We can't vote for a Mormon donchya know." ( Meanwhile, we drink the cyanide kool-aid because someone said it was Jesus-juice. )

But, what am I worrying about.
Romney would have never won either. No Republican would have ever won. If OBAMA were a Republican rather than a Democrat, HE would have lost.
Why?
Bush was THAT MUCH of a fuckup. He turned the word "Republican" into a word worse than "fuck" Bush WAS fuck. And he made everyone think: "If Republican, then they are FUCK - vote Democrat."
No matter if it was a guy with no experience running, or a fat mongoloid walrus that sounds like Elmer Fudd & Daffy Duck put thru the machine in the movie "the fly" ( I still love the guy. I haven't been so entertained listening to a politician in years. Barney Frank FTW! )

Kinda bad news for you though. I agree with that logic and take it one step further,
If the economy gets better under Obama, (which it's starting too, they're saying the worst of the recession is over, dow broke 10k and big companies are reporting profits) then he will be credited with that, which will up his odds greatly for a re-election in 2012. Whether he had anything to do with the recovery or not.

That's the way it is in politics, isn't it though? Bush got the blame because he was there when the bubble burst, regardless of whether he was THE most responsible person for it. If Obama had been president then, everyone would have blamed him then, before even any rational explanation could have been offered.
The same with any recovery. No one can really say for sure whether a certain policy contributed much or little to a recovery or downfall. You can generally evaluate the direction it had, but you can't say it was THE factor for a recovery. Because of this, IMHO it's useless to assign blame or praise for politicians, especially considering that all of them (in power) are controlled by other behind the scenes people.
