Now that I think of it good - yeah, electoral college is kind of fucked up.  It "gives the smaller states a voice" - but the popular vote would do just about the same ( because electors ... are based on population!   Woohoo? )

Why we use this arcane system ... who knows.   Whatever.

Kinda bad news for you though. I agree with that logic and take it one step further,

If the economy gets better under Obama, (which it's starting too, they're saying the worst of the recession is over, dow broke 10k and big companies are reporting profits) then he will be credited with that, which will up his odds greatly for a re-election in 2012. Whether he had anything to do with the recovery or not.

Everyone should know that.

Now - with this whole 10,000 thing - It's nothing to do with anything Obama did.   Barely any of the recovery money has been spent.   It's not really set to start anything in any volume until 2010-2011.

Not to mention - NO jobs have been created.   Recovery jobs - contract work - is ALL TEMPORARY.   It's not a fix, just like WPA.

Do your project - then you're fired.  Tough shit buddy.

I just get sick hearing about it EVERY day on the news. How horrrible a person he is and all that.
I dont usually get upset and nerd-rage but what do people want?

It was him or McCain-Palin
Ick.

Plus all the talk about weapons and blowing each other up made me harbor some serious resentments.
We're all inhabiting the same earth. It just seems kinda silly to me.

Anyway I'll nix the nerd-rage.

No need to really apologize - it happens. That's what politics is all about, believing in something and supporting it with emotion as well as knowledge. However, I'm not sure what news stations you're tuning in to but here in the DC area they worship him. He has segments every day - even on his vacation days. It really is sickening.
