anime-media
newtype711:
i put this in the anime section because it's big on the anime internet scene. They have recently been adding many new titles, most of which are on this site's DND/DNP list. I knew that if they got enough attention they would be taken down and I think that has happened. The questions I ask is; 1. Did anime-media get taken down? and 2. By who and how? (do these people just search the web or is someone ratting them out?)
morrefule:
No, there is NOT ratting out here, it is more CYOA. We love Bakabt here, and we want it to keep going. So we stay with-in the rules and don't upload/download licensed media here. We don't want Funi or anybody else hitting the community with a C&D order. Have a problem talk to all the members here who enjoy this community, they are the ones who are as you say "Ratting" torrents out...
This is a good thing trust me :)

i meant no such thing just that I want to know how they go about this. There a hundreds of site like that and lets not forget that the videos still exist. So it's not like they know where everything is. It's like a website can go on for a long time and then when it gets to big NOW they decide to go shut it down. This site for example shrinks it's list of popular anime, like Blue Seed, so the other stuff like gundam series get past over. So i'm just asking what has to happen for the mystery people to start shutting down the cool sites (not that i don't like the new bt)? and what happened to anime-media?

are you talking about http://anime-media.com/ ? ive never heard of/used them but it appears to be still online so not sure what your talking about. Im not a fan of streaming media.
as for what makes companies shut down distros/sites..its just whenever they feel like it/ at their discression. Most smart places try to stay away from teh big companies since theyre more likely to follow up on it (funmation) I also remember hearing Queens blade publishers hired Bay TSP to actually track BT's and send CD orders to indivials IP companies shutting down their broadband and issuing a warning.
tahts pretty f'd up. I actually should double check on what that companies name is so i make sure to never buy their crap. I thin it was Aniplex
