Code Geass & R2 Fav/Hated Characters

When I offered OZC's Code Geass encode, people kept on asking me why I picked Suzaku to be in the background instead of Lelouch. I came to find that I ended up being the only one who seemed to dislike Lelouch (though the writer did a great job in designing his personality and stuff). Thus I figured I would make this thread:

Favorites of Mine:
1. C.C. - Very much an interesting personality. I very started to take a liking to this character after the point where she loses her memory in R2, and in seeing how she acted around Lelouch.

2. Gilbert G.P. Guilford - He commands the Glaston Knights. He is extremely loyal to his princess. Very strong man of admirable character and chivalry. Not bad with a Knightmare either

3. Jeremiah Gottwald - Much for the same reasons as Guilford. And the Geass Canceller trick and being a cyborg are added awesome perks

4. Suzaku Kururugi - Despite the craziness that he has had to bear, he still maintains a reasonable amount of sanity. He is very strong, and has an enviable Knightmare: 9th Generation Lancelot Albion

5. Gino Weinberg - Though they made him look like a pansy at the end, for the majority of R2 he seemed to be a very cool guy. Serious when necessary, and just happy-go-lucky all the rest of the time. Regardless, he is an awesome pilot and The Knight of Three nonetheless.

Honorable Mention : Kallen Kouzuki, Shirley Fenette, Milly Ashford, Euphemia Li Brittania (why all girls? I dunno  )

Hated by Me:
1. Nina Einstein - The dumbest genius ever. Not to mention a bit of a disgusting character. See episode 12 of Code Geass.

2. Lelouch v Britannia - Yeah, yeah he redeemed himself at the end. But I can't help thinking the world of Code Geass might have been a better place if he never existed. Too many of his actions lead to fatal consequences. He killed Euphy, he cannot be forgiven.

3. Rolo Lamperouge - yeah he also redeemed himself, but nonetheless, he is too self-centered. And he killed Shirly, so he cannot be forgiven either.

4. Charles Zi Britannia - Very much an idiot. Need I explain? V.V. ties with him though

5. Clovis la Britannia - The pansy who dies in episode 2, yet keeps on being mentioned repeatedly throughout the series.

C.C. (altough the correct tl for her name is c2 if you listen to them calling her) the only really interesting character in this show, everyone else is "drop at my feet and beg for forgiveness" for me

l have a lot of sympathy for his sister, and Kara (was it ?) and thats all, the rest is like bugs

That crazy-lesbian-school girl obsessed with Euphemia who eventually created the nuclear bomb.  She had zero redeeming features.

Nina Einstein - Cause, well, she's freaking insane, and like said quite disgusting in my opinion.

Charles Zi Britannia - No need to explain lol

Rolo Lamperouge - And here's the guy I hate the most, that son of a bitch killed Shirly, would've killed him myself if I had the option :'(

Other than that I pretty much liked the rest of the cast, some more and some less though ;d

Shirley - Just pure passion from this character
Kallen - She is just a badass.  She is 1/2 the reason why Lelouch can do anything.

Didn't like -

Nina ~ Girl is just messed up in the Head
Rolo ~ for the same reason NaiveEden listed

I didn't like Rolo greatly, but his death was very nicely done, so it redeemed him.

On the case of Nina, simply see episode 12 of code Geass. There is a little part where she...shall we say...shows her affection for Princess Euphy a bit too openly. At that point, I started to hate that character. And as if that weren't enough, just look at this:

Love:
Lelouch vi Brittania: I just couldn't help but cheer for him through out the series. A few times I caught myself cheering things that even Lelouch was ashamed of ("Yes! Euphemia's dead and now all the Japanese will side with Zero!").

Kururugi Suzaku: Even though he had a kind of narrow world view, he was a good character and worked well as a foil to Lelouch.

Kouzuki Kallen: I was cheering for her to beat Suzaku for the whole series, and when she finally did it so satisfying. Not to mention she looked damn good in that bunny suit.

Shirley Fenette: sure she was a good character and whatever, but this is really just a horny fanboy pick

I will admit part of the reason why I hate Lelouch is because I feel really bad for Suzaku. To find the one person you love more than anything else and who loves you back, and then have that person die right in front of your eyes...it would have been too much to bear. I would have killed Lelouch right then and there if it were me.
