Us British folk don't get IQ tests so I've never really thought of them as more than a joke/time waster like those other psycho-evaluation websites. I wonder how they test kids at such a young age... I agree that genius or not a child is a child and should be allowed to grow up before all this genius nonsense kicks in.

So whats that, wikipedia says 'Highly gifted'? I'm not that smart, but being autistic means that most IQ tests are a doddle. Its all just math and logic anyway, its common sense that I struggle with.

Also, look I can do it too ;)

IQ tests are only good to tell you how successful your kid will be at school. IQs very rarely change after the age of 4. Even specialists, it can take years to increase of a mere ten points if your kid is older than 4-5 years old. If you got low IQ, you're probably screwed for the rest of your life.

As for the headline, what the hell is that? Well, yeah, you got a kid that is really, really clever for his age. What's so astonishing about that?

EDIT: I got 138 on the test. But, the younger you are, the higher a lame test like that one will give you.

This is not a serious IQ test by any means.

I don't trust these online things. I've gotten between 125-145 on several tests I've taken over the years. The most legit one, a paper test, placed me in the top 5% of my age group with a 142ish. Your score depends how long you spend on it, if you answer the same things much faster you'll gain maybe 10 points. Generally, I spend about 30 seconds on each and if I can't solve it I make a guess and move on. IQ really doesn't matter too much as hard work is a great virtue and will get you very good places in life :). Besides, even if your IQ sucks maybe you have a nice EQ :D.

Durrr.... xD

I got a 132.

My problem is simply taking tests...  I can never concentrate.   Hell, I didn't do too well on my ACTs because I wasn't paying attention/couldn't concentrate to it.  (Got an 18 I think... though)

I never ended up taking the ACT and stuck with the SAT. I was in the last grade that got to take the SAT without the written section (phew xD). My SAT score wasn't anything too special and I actually did worse on my second try xD. I was pretty bad at taking tests then. I like to think that after college I'm a test taking machine :P.

Considering all the responses, we should all know each other from NASA.

You shouldn't because they don't evaluate your IQ. A real IQ test should take hours to complete and be far harder.

not to mention that (for those who are tracking articles on advanced physics and biology) most of the research is carried out by Dr. Xio Min Gao and Dr. Mirgavad Gandi.

While we are sitting here enjoying our time, they are working their ass off learning and developing things.

[edit] just 2 articles from physorg.com front page   ;)

The choice is pretty obvious  :P

Indian people always tend to be more brainy.
