One of my friends recently bought a Samsung LCD (had money and selected a good one) but had to replace it with a Sony due to an audio sync problem while watching (LG) DVD through an HDMI connection.

He replaced it just because the shop owner said the 1 sec delay (and increasing during play) was O.K. and Samsung was selling this model like chips :) and the problem would be gone if he bought a Samsung DVD player.

But I don't know whether it would be right to say entire Samsung LCDs are faulty :)

@enginarc: A one second audio delay is horrible, and to have to match it with their products is not worth it. They make good displays for the most part, they just don't cut the par when you are looking for an all around great display.

yeah that was the case, the reason he bought it was because the image was brilliant, but the problem is some problems just pop-up when you use a product. He had to invite the technical service at his home and make them watch just to prove it. (seriously)
