LED vs. Plasma vs. LCD
Klocknov:
For picture Samsung is the leading group at the moment, but for the usage I notice that Sony and LG are doing way better. Samsung is like the current Hitachi.

Tad expensive though. Next time I upgrade my TV, I'll be getting one of those.

Why are you avoiding Panasonic? If you are going for Plasma They are the #1 Plasma Manufacture in the World.
If you are going with an LG go with the LT90 LED Backlit. The thing is beautiful. Just use external speakers for it sometimes doesn't lip sinc very well. If you are looking at Sony the Z5100 is a great tv. A little pricy, but one of the best LCD"s out on the market outside of th XBR9 and Samsung B750. Check out the Sharp AQUOS LC-52D85U, It is a wonderful TV for the money. Geat color, and sharp detail and it uses a natural 120hz which gives it one of the better motion flows in LCD's.

If I had to compare LCDs...
Last year's Aquos' are superior to samsung.
This years samsungs are superior (slightly) to the current Aquos.
However, anything below a Series 5 is kind of crappy and the Aquos is still better. (as well as a few other brands)

Samsung > All.
Real men don't use built-in speakers anyway.
