l never had problems even on my W7

when you install the game with applocale you have to start the game with applocale as well, then it should work fine, the program can make a shortcut for the applocale'd program as well.

I'll try that since I only switched back to u.s. applocale after installing it in jp.  I'll uninstall and test with applocale install and execution.  It is odd though how I can play f/sn without problems but not this.

thats because FSN was made to work outside asia by Type-Moon or something like that, there is no problem with it worikng normally. Applocale will help you this way, l still have japaneese installed but all you have to do is install application via applocale japanese is teh last language selection, and you execute the application teh same way and it should work out.

It's a good thing I can upgrade to seven soon since my school is giving it to me for free (though I wonder how much they pay for licenses because each teachers comp is getting it).

Anyway, I've confirmed that installing and moving to another computer doesn't help.  Now that I've exhausted so many methods I'll ask again Havok since you're the only one left: please upload 0% save data so I can try to use it.

if you have tatsus version you shouldn't need  a reinstall as l played it on W7 but if youre talking about HA you don't need to reinstall it, just reset the save folder (move or rename it) and run the applocaled file, but as l said Vista gives problems to a load of ppl, the way it behaves looks to me Vista was directed more to offices and administrations, rather than to normal home users, witch is a grand fail in my opinion, Windows 7 is just grand in my eyes, and l'm loving it so far, it does have issues but it's still much greater that Vista, l think the next Microsofts OS will no longer be Windows brand as they no longer need this name since Gates is no longer in Microsoft.

I've installed and reinstalled multiple times and I used the 100% data to set my agth settings correctly while I was waiting and to see if I could possibly transfer in save data from another comp.  As I said before, the 100% data works but any other save data I imported didn't work.

l'm gonan have to take a beter look into this later on, but it should run easily if it worked on my W7.

try mailing me your saved data and l'll see what l can do with it.

I know it's saying something about the saves failing.  But why? 

Also, I have Windows 7 in Japanese Locale.  AppLocale won't install on my computer.

Run as Administrator.
Solved the saves problem with 90% games out there.

You can install Applocale in Windows 7.
Silent install ftw.

I got it working by reinstalling the damn game. 

@ Vuze: Applocale doesn't like installing on my computer.  I have no idea why so I just keep my locale in Japanese.

uh .... ?? People are installing Fate/Hollow Ataraxia? Really?

I still have the old Fate/HA before I FRESHLY installed Windows 7. Fate/Stay Night Reatla Nua 4.2 and Fate/HA do not need to be installed. I only uploaded F/SN RN 4.2 on TT. The F/HA version I have also has a crack on it and I just tested it out since the last time I played this game (in Japanese just to see what its like) was more than a 2 years ago when I had Vista installed.

Yeah, I downloaded the dummy cut iso + crack.  I've never installed it on my comp before.
