That doesn't hold quite so true for older series like this one, where HQ fansubs or softsubbed single-audio rips don't exist. Really, it doesn't matter as long as the streams are properly labeled. The Tenchi in Tokyo DVDs don't have Songs/Signs Only tracks, so that simplifies things a bit.

And as I stated in the torrent comments, if any encoders out there want to do a brand new release from the source, I can try to provide it.

I'm done with the muxing and such, everything seems to be ok, but I will spotcheck each episode to make sure.

Did you use the files in the current torrent, or the v2's that APEX did of the first 17 episodes? The v2's are 640 x 480, but I'm sure if the new subs will work with the revised rips.

The old (current) files. Otherwise you would get a mix of containers/codecs/resolutions.
Besides, I haven't got those H264 releases...

If you want a "perfect" H264 640x480 release it would probably be best to take Zalis up on his offer (mentioned above).

Okay.  The V2 APEX releases do look better, and I have all 17 of them, but they had other problems, iirc.
