Neon Genesis Evangelion

l watched it a few times before l understood it compleately, l think at least, every time l watch it l discover something new, as stated before by someone, this show is simply great.

Evangelion is in my top 3 anime series list, even today it can easily hold it's own against many of the current popular series though not animation wise but story and character wise it usually dominates. There are videos and articles that explain all the psychological content and reveal that all the religious symbolism is hollow I recommend these for those "stuck" in the series.

l never read anything about this series at all, l came to my comclusions that were confirmed by the ppl that wrote many articles about it while chatting with them online and comparing our points of view, l preffer good old self investigation above checking things out from other sources, thats why l had to watch the show a few good times to uncover most and get to the rest by analizing everything piece by piece. to me thats the most enjoyable thing about my Anime watching, getting to everything on your own and then confirming if you are right or wrong and if so re-checking when wrong, this excercizes mind a lot.
NGE remains as my very close and loved show, MVAS = Most Valuable Anime Show list contains at the momment 7 titles among wich are S&W 1/2, Slayers, FSN, and a few other shows that are pure gems to me.

I'm with you here. That'll be the best way to watch them i beleive. I hate it when you have to wait and you are in the middle of the story, you forget little things that wind up important in the end

"best" is a vague word. Best in terms of what? number of fans? animation quality? storyline? I think it depends on who you ask. I just watched the first episode and I instantly disliked it. I've also joined a lot of anime forums and the impression I get is there's a stalemate in the tug-of-war between its fans and haters.
