Is it true that the manga is still incomplete?
Yup, the manga is now in the EoE period.

Yup, I would say it creates one integrity with anime. Theoreticaly it's the same as with other animes, where there are lots of differences but in this case it feels like one manga completes anime and vice versa. If you liked tv series and EoE you should definitely give manga a chance.

Actually, Misato could be a role model for miss realiable title. She has her own problems but she still does her job(and what a job!) well and manages to live a (somewhat) normal life.
Are we talking about the Misato, who is so incapable to have a serious relationship, that she tries to get it on with Shinji, who is like half her age.

a lie is a lie, but it's also a motivation for him, what happens after he leaves the room doesn't matter to him as he doesn't know about it, only shame that carpet was really nice :)

This is Evangelion. If there is any opportunity to interpret any character as really screwed up you should take it. Therefore Misato is not miss reliable, she has a serious alcohol problem and she gives Shinji an adult kiss because they do not have time for more. At least that is my personnel interpretation, your mileage may vary of course. There are at least a few hints that Misato has problems with intimate relationships. Extreme doormat Shinji seems safe to her.

Drinking problem? A few beers there and then is a drinking problem? She's never drunk while she needs to work, she doesn't seem to be drunk all the time at when she's free either. She likes drinking beer but it doesn't have a negative impact on her life, does that mean she has a drinking problem? If it does you can count me in as a person with a drinking problem then. I quess I should find a clinic to start treatment or something...

As to what comes to the kiss, I think you don't really understand Misato. She's a woman who has extreme diligence in her work. Her job involves guarding Shinji and manipulating him into doing what NERV needs. Shinji's crush on her is an excellent tool in her job, even as she cares about him she doesn't hesitate to use it to her own advantage if her work so requires. That's partly why I find her so admirable. She is a regular person, even a little goofy, on her free time but when she works she ditches everything from her "other life" aside. She's cold and calculating while commanding the battles, she's even willing to

if it's what needs to be done. Seduction isn't outside her work morals.

She also has quite appealing sense of humor, also, I think she used his crush on her to her advantage around 3 times over the series.
too bad she was unable to get through to him to help him with his emotional problems, they had to deal with it on their won.

Really? I mean the first one was just a recap... but the visuals that were redone in it were awesome! 4th Angel's beam cannon ripped through everything and it was cool how they animated that.

2.22 had introduced a new character and details were changed around. I do hope they end the Rebuild the same as the Alternative retelling of the show (The End of Eva).

Re: why is neo genesis evangelion considered as the best anime?
« Reply #437 on: December 29, 2010, 04:27:23 AM »
It's not the best, it's one of the best. There is no "best" anime.
I agree %100

EDIT ADD:

I think is very good, but some times it stuck's in the same place for like, 10 mins. and it make's it kind of boring.

There are two movies: "Death and Rebirth" and "The End of Evangelion".
