By "remastered", you mean the Rebuild series, then yes, there's a HUGE difference. Basically, when me and a friend went to go see 2.22 in theaters, we made a theory that (click to show/hide) The Rebuild series is the events that happened in the original series repeating themselves, but with different people being affected by those situations. . So if anything, I suggest watching the original and even if you don't like the show, let 2.22 change your mind. It's worth your time :).
