Like I said, this isn't a show you can speed through. There are clues that put everything together in random parts of the show.

omg, facepalm chain.

1- Rei is a clone of Shinji's mother, made early by Gendo, first clone was killed by the blonde bitch, Shinji suspects there is something odd about Rei, since he feels so at ease when with her, as if he was with is mother. He learns the real truth later in the underground, it's also hinted by Rei a few times, but as she is quite like Kanade (AB!) she is bad with communicating with others it isn't actually clear.
2- By "Gendo did something bad to Asuka", he didn't mean that, it was Gendo's fault that her mother committed suicide, you would know that if you watched the series and the movies at normal speed, and if you actually paid attention.
3- when Asuka was in a coma, Shinji saw her boobs by chance, and masturbated, it doesn't matter where he came, he at least cleaned up, at this point it is obvious what he really feels about Asuka, something most of us suspected from the very start.

4- there is no need for spoiler tags, the show is damn old and still popular.

you should now watch the entire series and the movies at 0.87 speed, to at least try to comprehend what the fuck you missed.

this is what you get for watching stuff sped up. you miss details, and you'll have to rewatch and end up wasting thrice more time.

that is why I don't understand anyone watching anything like that, I mean, you can watch porn like that, but anime ? no, you have to keep your eyes on details.

I don't watch porn cuz I don't need it, but you seem to need close-up's, at any rate, as he said, watching stuff sped up does make you need to re-watch and waste a lot of time iff you didn't particularly like it anyways so it's kind of punishment game for you now.

Evangelion is one of the few anime that bears watching several times, particularly if you missed the subtext or want to examine it with a different perspective. There are anime which are enjoyable upon renewed viewing, but you rarely get something new out the experience. Fast-forwarding NGE would be like speed reading through Nietzsche, not that they're really comparable, but it's just as useful or stimulating.

meh, i do things my way, when i use speed 1.50 means that i don't have much time free and i wanna finish it faster

about the dropping thing, yeh my list is 260+ finished, AND i have no idea what to watch, that's why i stuck with it.

just finished it, kinda on the bad side i still have to watch the movies.

Watching anime isn't a race. Why not go back and actually WATCH some of the animes you've fastforwarded through?

Do you only read the even pages in books to get through those faster as well? ::)

I think he gets the picture by now, enough with lectures, now if he watched it under pressure from us it would be forced, how could anyone enjoy an anime like that huh ?

*late like always*

- Rei isn't entirely a clone of Shinji's mother. She is made by combining Shinji's mother and angel cells.

- It is not Gendou fault that Asuka's mother killed herself. She was testing Unit 02 and became a part of it but unlike being disintegrated and thus fully absorbed by Eva like Shinji's mother, she just lost her sanity.
