frog resizes everything when you don't look at the options before posting the picture, typical error pf judgement, proof that people DON'T read the screen :)

Yeah I usually only watch things in Japanese and never bother with the dub, but I was a big fan of the guys that did the English for the original series and wanted to at least see how well this one was done.

That's a good pic. I noticed everything else there but never knew about the difference I mentioned until I watched it in English the other day. I pop in and out of here every now and then but I don't go to any other anime related forums at all. Thought it was odd I couldn't at least find something on google. There wasn't any mention of it in the English cast commentary either.

The sub is definitive. Duh.

That's pretty rude. I was just checking to see if people agreed with the sub translation there.

not the exact same thing but close enough. (wanted to see what was in that book thing in your image, it's in the link)

personally though. remake or not, the execution works. and that's good enough for me.

in a way it won't surprise me if we find out that that new girl is in fact some sort of Shinji's and Asuka's kid from a parallel dimension or something like that, she does have the brawn courage and smarts of both of them, she is like a clone made of their both DNA, mixed up all the strong traits of both, though Asuka's the winning part obviously.

I just said it wouldn't surprise me at this point, I don't mean it as another weird theory that follows the title anyways, I think the amount of theories about this show is still even to Madoka's :D
Weird :)

I hope they come up with something good like that for her. I'm still not sure if I like her. I was surprised to see a new pilot, then became a little upset since it seemed they only put her in there to sell merchandise after they made a big deal about how anime isn't going anywhere etc.

Evangelion 3.0 will premier Fall of 2012 in Japanese theaters. This is a remake film and as of yet it doesn't seem like it's the final chapter of these movies.

Evangelion Shin Gekijō-ban Q Quickening would be the title for the third movie.

I'm with you, OP. I found it boring as hell. It was just depressing and boring. I kept watching, expecting it to get good at some point... but it never did.

Just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Can't wait for the subs to come out in two years XD. I find the movies to be way better than the series, but that's just my opinion.
