Loved the first two, am 25 minutes into the third and now it feels like I'm watching a Final Fantasy boss fight rather than an Evangelion movie. So sad.

I think they tried too hard in trying to get symbolism into the movie.

I think it's simpler than that. Anno went nuts again.

To me it feels more like Anno got replaced. He's still there, but the movie was delegated.
I haven't finished it yet, but I got to the piano playing scene and I actually had to skip ahead. I loved every Evangelion up to rebuild 2.0, and now this. /cry
