Bob2004:
So I finally finished watching the original series, in the hopes it would give some vague clue as to wtf was going on in the new films (which I thought were just a retelling of the original story)... but not only does it turn out that the series and the films tell two totally different stories (which are totally unrelated to each other as far as I can tell), the last few episodes of the series made virtually no sense either - so now I have even more questions than I did before I started!

I guess I'm going to have to watch End of Evangelion, or whatever that other film was called now as well and hope that at least explains the end of the series. But I'm not going to get my hopes up :P

Hahahahhahahahahaha hahhahahhaha. End of Evangelion? Explain anything? Hahahahhahahahahaha hahahhaahaahha.

Just remember, at each point in the End of Evangelion film, Hideaki Anno sends you his best regards, and his utmost love.

Please come back and report your carnag-I mean enlightenment.

So the 3rd movie was like......
Shit did I not watch the 2nd movie?
But I did so.... Yes, I'm very lost.

The End of Eva isn't bad, honestly. It's pretty "out there", but it's infinitely better than the end of the series itself.
