High definition releases of _insert title here_

Havoc10K: maybe I'm letting my manners slip, thanks for the link. I didn't quite find the contents relevant and for the record, I've scanned it three times now pages 1-14. And I'm aware bluray is high definition.

It would really make my day if (alternate universe physics applied here) all of those are being immediately released in 1080. I would be less thrilled, but still pretty gratified to hear all of them at least got or were in the near future going to get a remaster like Outlaw Star or Bebop did.

Havoc10K:
all shows eventually gets a blu ray, look at FSN, it took quite a while, l hope to see some other shows on BluRays as well, but keep to that topic there, re-masters wouldn't be high definition unless upscaled anyways, or completely rebuilt, but the real quality wouldn't improve anyways, just would look a bit nicer, but not truly hi-def, so l wouldn't count on the older shows or movies getting a blu ray realy 1080p quality, the newer shows get the blurays really fast theese days, because it shows that fans do apreciate it.

the reason why l directed you there is because you asked for high quality works (from what l understand hi-def is your biggest hope for but upscales would be good as well)

there are upscales, but even if the show is licenced, you still might not find it on BBT so asking about that is meaningless anyways.

even fansubs of shows that are licenced arent on BBT and most of the shows you aksed are licenced, please reffer to blacklisted shows in wiki.
l mean simply asking about them here is not a crime or anything but not many ppl will answer this question.

I get your meaning, I wasn't asking for anyone to point me to licensed show torrents, just if anyone could confirm any of those getting at least a treatment.

I probably wasted 3 hours reading about "such and such's cousin's friend's sister in law's neice twice removed buying such and such"
but nothing solid. That said, I'm pretty sure people on this site buy more than their fair share of anime and manga so people here would be more likely to know if a title exists or not.

As for the remasters, I was under the impression there was a whole song and dance of digital color corrections to the original stock and it was all transferred at a higher resolution than the original vhs (or first gen dvd). I've seen some early dvd release rips that don't hold a candle to remaster rips. I suppose I gave too much credit, but the difference is definitely appreciated.

If you can't find the blu-ray there, it isn't stateside yet.  There are a few import companies that pull straight from Japan, but I personally don't use them. And Havoc is right, you should probably learn to use the search fuction.  It will save you from looking like a n00b... oh wait... Never mind.

It's not HD if it's DVD

To the OP, shows that have plans for sequels have higher chances of being released in BD format. Look at Tenchi Muyo. The movies as well as some OVA have been released in BD because of the Tenchi spin-off currently being produced. Darker than Black, and Nogizaka are also examples.

Aside from Tenchi, and some movies like Akira, Dragonball Z and GitS, there are only a handful shows before 2000 that are released/to be released in BD format: Bubblegum Crisis, Galaxy Express, Lupin S1 and S2, YuYu Hakusho.

Limitations include manufacturing costs. Blurays are still costly to make. While fans of those old shows are well in there 30s or 40s, thus have the money to buy the BDs, the number of sales probably won't be able to cover the costs.
