seeding the same file but with different names?
« on: October 17, 2009, 11:17:09 AM »
I have a couple hundred GB of anime that's available on here but have different file names. I know their similar since the checksum at the end of the files is similar. Do I have to rename the files to seed? Is there an easy way to do that?

if the files are the same you can seed them without renaming. it takes some work tough - as you will have to (at least in utorrent) relocate every file of the torrent manually to its new filename (rightclick on the file in the files tab -> relocate).

Or use your system's symlink equivalent (shortcuts, I believe).

my guess would be the op is using windows, which is clueless about symlinks prior to Windows Vista (shortcuts are not comparable, and useless in this case) and a pain in the butt to use starting from there.
