Wtf is up with Australian ISPs?  I thought Comcast's 250GB cap was bad.

agreed! and not to mention the peak times are shit! if you have 2 super geeks in the house (like my sister and myself) you hit 20Gb hell easy. within normally 2 weeks of reset.

You want to know how Bad Canadian ISP are ?
Rogers introduces DOCSIS 3.0 based service (upto 50Mbps down and upto 2.0 up) at a monthly rate of $150 and with a cap of 175 GB
With their wording Upto they can actually throttle us and not actually provide us with what we are paying for. (This is already taking place some area of GTA and yet they still tries to push people to upgrade to higher speeds)

In short Canada has shitty ISP who won't want to upgrade the current infrastructure and believes are our
Internet Speeds are up there with other developed nation.

I've been considering, but the thing is, if I switch over to another company (ie TPG ADSL), I apparently need to get another phone line installed.. something about a something loop..

edit: lol Australia's still worse, I think we're talking 20Mbps down and shit all up..

edit2: I dunno.. sighs//

yeah i know my down speed is OKAY at best but my upload is complete crap. I have no idea what the iinet broadband 2 speed is up but it must be slow.

edit: and what crap are they telling you about installing another phoneline? why would u have to do that

I'd much rather have a 6/1 line with no cap than a 20/2 line with a 50GB cap.

Shit, I used to do 400GB/month with my 1.5/.8 3G service.  Then Sprint gutted it(it's now about .3/.05) and capped it at 5GB.

Ugh, how do you get these plans with huge uploads? :P I pay around USD 20 for 3MB/.5MB (was paying USD60 for 1MB/.25MB). After the offer expires I will be paying around USD 50. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade to a 5MB plan soon.

ADSL2+ upload speed is 1 mbps (only hits around 100 kb/s though)
ADSL2+ M upload is 3 mbps, only ISPs in australia which support this are adam and internode i think.

another thing, don't go TPG if you value your gaming experience (any servers outside of australia will give you really really really bad pings, even in australia they're terrible)
