Wtf is up with Australian ISPs?  I thought Comcast's 250GB cap was bad.
You want to know how Bad Canadian ISP are ?
Trust me, we're still better off than Australia. The caps they have is just inhumane.

I'd much rather have a 6/1 line with no cap
That's what I have right now; $50/month. I'm with Bell Canada. It's an old offer that they don't offer anymore.

Iceland

~$70 at current exchange rate

12MB ADSL with 120GB cap on DL outside Iceland, all DL from Icelandic IP is free.
All UL is free

Wish my neighborhood had fiber optics, me want 50MB DL/UL speeds :D....FO prices here are the same as I'm paying for my ADSL :/

Where: Perth, Western Australia

ISP: iinet

How Much: $130 (per month)

Speed: ADSL2+ (Not cable! as fast as it can go on the day, haven't recently measured speed...)

Cap: 120gb (50gb peak, 70gb off-peak, cap resets every 30 days)

No throttling so far.

Note: once limit is reached on either peak or off-peak, speed is reduced for that particular 'zone'.

Fee: $10.28/month
Bandwidth: 1Mbps / 512Kbps (No Caps - No Throttling - No Filtering)
ISP: Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited
Country: Pakistan

I am quite satisfied with it as this ISP gives 33% discount to students/teachers, like me, and also on time service.
Students can access services of up to 4Mbps/2Mbps for $39.34/month.

with over 100 ISPs to grab the market, yeah the competition is quiet fierce here.

The most expensive and unfair package offered to end users in Pakistan is by Nayatel, subsidiary of Micronet. It has a FTTU Network but only in Islamabad offering 36Mbps / 18Mbps connection with 200+ HD TV channels and an unlimited calls phone line for $357/month!

It costs $69 per month, unless you write it off for your company to pay ^^
your upload speeds are 3x faster than your download speeds?
i have never seen that before.

my turn to point out the major flaw in these speed test.
they are never ever accurate.   my actual dl= 3mb up=.512mb

as you can tell one test illustrates the shaping dynamics of comcast.

i pay about $30.

Fee: I dunno, all in some package. Somewhere around $100 for everything though.
Bandwidth: 20/2 @ 250GB cap, which is not enforced (because if it were, I'd jump on slower DSL in a heartbeat)
ISP: Charter Communications
Country: US

Speeds tend to stay pretty good. I have the obvious slower speeds during peak hours, but more often than not, I'm fine.

I'd kill for Fiber.

Monthly Fee: £38 ($60.86)
Bandwidth: 50Mbit ~ Download = 5.7Mb/s, upload = 190kB/s
Country: England
Service Provider: Virgin Media

Curiously...my seedbox is

Monthly Fee: £40.55 ($64.95)
Bandwidth: unlimited, not shared 100Mbit ~ Download = 11.7Mb/s, upload = 11.7Mb/s
Country: France

and thats with 2gig ram, 500gb harddrive, OS etc.

so really...paying for my country's best internet is a waste of time, might as well get 10Mbit or summin really ¬¬

$60/month through the shittiest ISP I've ever used, Americable. They sublet the lines from NTT Docomo and fuck shit the hell up, goddamn bastards. Can't wait to move off base and get better.

The linear nature of your Euclidean geometry both confounds and befuddles me.

MWnet, municipial fibre-to-the-house 1Gbps connection (shared with TV and phone),
130SEK/month, or $18 (it's a "10 Mbit guaranteed" connection, usually more than 100Mbit)

If you are supposed to include the taxes you pay to the municipality in the calculation, I guess the connection is not all that cheap, though. :-)

Welcome to the world of Australian ISP's. No-one comes out alive!

Fee: $70 au
Bandwidth: 60GB : 5mbit / 768kbit. Uploads not counted.
ISP: Optus

I joined this plan 2 years ago and it is alot better than what they are offering now.

You will find most Australian ISP's count uploads.
