Metropolis: Kenichi Theory

(1/1)

Kannato:
Okay, Im supposed to make this clear, but this is not Kannato.
;D I am just writing here cuz we are having a debate. My name is Aaron.

Anyways, I kinda have a feeling that Kenichi isn't really naturally human either like Tima, and I have a lot of reasons for believing so.

First off, the person that was being investigated initially was a Scientist that was doing illegal procedures using human parts. He did say that it wasn't efficient to do such, but yet its quite known that he does venture in that kind of field. I suppose its safe to say he is lying. In the scene with the fire, the uncle tells his nephew, Kenichi, go around to the other side to look fior an enterance into the factory. Considering its a burning building, I wouldnt think its quite right to ask such of his nephew. Actually, it seems kinda unreasonable unless he was infact artificial, possibly.

Second, there was some mention that the fall into the sewers, and the sewers themselves are not survivable for any human. Rokk even emphasises the possibility of only a robot surviving such a fall, followed by the officers comment about how jobs there are unsuitable for humans. However, the boy survives, unscathed and only unconcious which could be possible if he was built out of human tissue and muscles.

Third, around the time Tima was shut down and in the Detective's care, they both had a converrsation together. This conversation was concerning whether or not she was human or robot. The detective tells her that she is just a very special robot and she refuses to believe that. She states "I am human, like Kenichi" which the detective agrees to almost admittingly, stating that she is just as human as the boy. This only means that the detective considers themselves to be quite similar, but doesnt eliminate the possibility that Kenichi is more like her than a human.

I do know that he bleeds once when he has his conflict with Tima. However, if he was made of tissue, that outcome seems reasonable. As far as his personality and character is concerned, he and Tima both share emotions. Though his may be more realistic, her problem might be that she was limited with artifical parts and designed for a specific duty, where emotions were more or less unecessary.  Its even symbolic that at the end, when Kenichi lives with the robots as his uncle flys back to Japan showing no concern.

XD of couse, this really doesnt have a strong influence with the story unless you are trying to identify elements within the plot. =D But I think its a fun little topic. ^___^ So please respond, and let us hear what you think about it.
