New computer cant access website at all
Tetsamaru:
I've tried reading the FAQ and the only info i could get was "server might be down" which isnt the case. I've also tried a search the forums and couldnt find a similar problem.
Maybe i'm not searching hard enough, i do apologize in advance.
Now i've been visiting the website since it was called Boxtorrents. Never had any problems. 2 weeks ago i couldnt access the website anymore.So i just thought it was down. Day after day still couldnt access. Now surely bakabt couldnt be at fault, it must be something on my end. I turned on my old PC which i dont use for browsing the internet anymore and look at this!! I'm here on my old PC!!!.
So, my first instinct was to go to my new PC and replicate every kind of security function that my old PC has. didnt do anything. My new PC has windows 7 and Firefox 3.0.14
My old PC has windows 6. But that shouldnt be a problem, my sister's PC is running Windows 7 as well. And again, i went and replicated the security features. I turned off my firewall and anti-virus, still not helping. I dont think it could be my router because all the computers are running on it and my new computer is the only one that can't access the site. And then i relized something. It wasnt just Bakabt i couldnt access, i also cant go to like 20% of my favorites on my new comp. but i can certainly go to them on my old comp.
I'm totally stumped. Obviously it must have something to do with my new computer but even if i try to turn off every security feature available, i still cant go anywhere.
So, help a guy out?

Just a guess, but are you sure your new computer is configured to use the same dns provider?
For xp, easy instructions are here;
https://store.opendns.com/setup/device/windows-xp/
And for Vista;
https://store.opendns.com/setup/device/windows-vista/
The examples use OpenDNS nameservers, but you may use others too
Depending on the type of connection, you may or may not have a choice to change the nameserver (like when the isp uses transparent proxy) so this might not necessarily apply.
What's different between your computers? Different firewall, antivirus, software, etc?
Tetsamaru:
hmm, well according to both computers, they are both on the same DNS setting. I have it on automatic.
Both are on Window's Firewall. Both are on XP proffessional OS system. and every computer in this house is on Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. My sis's laptop is on vista and even that one can access bakabt as well as the other websites i usually go to. I have a total of 4 computers in this house. and my new computer seems to not want to cooperate lol.
Takeshi:
This is only Forefox (lol) Firefox it happens to? Have you tried other browsers?
Tetsamaru:
I guess i didnt say it to well in my first post. I tried over 3 different versions of IE as well as the latest version of Firefox. and for some reason my new computer cant get into bakabt but all the older computers can.
I mean, i suppose i could just use this computer to browse with, but that negates the reason of using the new computer in the first place.
