Zeta Gundam
« on: October 26, 2009, 05:37:22 PM »
So, I started watching Zeta Gundam today, and I was slightly disappointed. It's a good series, but it seems like most of the torrents for it don't have the groovy opening and ending songs from the original Japanese... has me a bit worried they won't include the Japanese insert songs either.

I don't have much space on my hard drive right now to DL a gigantic torrent of it and all I care about are English subs, rather than dubs. I know it's a bit strange to be hung up on such a thing as the opening and ending being preserved, but ever since I watched 0079, that changed everything. XD

So if you have any recommendations that fit the criteria stated above, I'd be very happy to hear them.

~Thank you.

Which fansub groups have you tried?

Well, for this series, I picked up the hybrid with White Base's A/V and 2xX's subtitles. For 0079, I got the Zeonic-Corps release. I'm not really particular to any fansub group, as long as they preserve the original impression of the series and it's not a dubtitle or HKsubs...that and not having English audio is a big plus. XD

I have to go back and check my copy to see if they've been included via ordered chapters; you can always remove the english audio yourself if you want xD For the most part I just ignore its existence.

Oh, I'd appreciate it. ^_^

Hmn, that sounds like it'd be a lot of trouble... then again, I've only started tinkering with files lately. Mostly, I've been dealing with adjustments in Convert X To DVD to burn and watch on the telly. So, honestly, how difficult is it if I may ask?

Since they're in MKV, doing it should just involve extracting the streams, and remuxing them without the english audio files. Google a guide somewhere, and the rest is all CPU time.

It is more trouble than it's worth though, selecting the Japanese audio track as default essentially negates the need to do this (unless you are extremely low on disk space and want to squeeze every single drop of your disk quota).

[edit] Crap; just realised that I recently replaced my WB_2xX hybrid with EG's bluray encodes. So I can't check those OPs/EDs :\

Hmnn~, I see.

Well, this computer's 7+ years old, but I'm networked right now so it's not that bad. XD
