Have you ever bought an original anime DVD?

<< < (2/14) > >>

kureshii:
Might want to take a look at this thread.

I have some R1s I felt were worth buying, no R2 DVDs though. And definitely no Japan-import Blurays yet (I wish!)

kurandoinu:
Apart from one mine are all R2 or R0 (ADV released a boxset under a different name here that was mega cheap but had weird covers and was region 0)

If its cheap enough or I love it enough I'll buy it. Just pirating everything isn't a nice thing to do.

bakaiku:
I don't remember exactly how many I have total since I'm far away from my dvds right now. But I guess I have around 30 or so only. I have couple box sets like Gasaraki, Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin and Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040.

Mainly I have movies and especially Ghibli ones. And actually I have many Ghibli movies twice on dvd since I first bought R3 dvd's but later those were released in Finland too so I've bought almost all of those Ghibli movies out on dvd in Finland. Though I haven't bought pretty much any lately so all those are mostly few years old.

Havoc10K:
l'm buying on Amazon cuz there really isn't much Anime DVD sets here. l have nearly 200 DVDs original, but if we count to series/dvd set then l have 57 series in original DVD sets. l also have some BDs but the question was about DVDs, you might want to change the question into "Have you ever bought an original anime?"
since most of us but DVDs and BDs, at least those that have a chance to buy them l think.

4 or 6 of them are DVDs, but they're all american crap.

As for anime, Blu-ray = yes. No completed sets, but going to do Bakemonogatari as my first Blu-ray set.

DVDs are old news.
