Once again, if you can afford both. Get both. Otherwise, go with the PS3.

I'm done with this thread.

Good, because your argument was terrible.

The problem is they don't feel the need to because they wrote it off early on and very few devs give it a shot. I'm really mad the way the wii has been handled. There is no reason it shouldn't be #1 in quality.

Bullshit.  The Wii is using a 700+ Mhz, 10 year old, in-order PPC and a GPU designed before ATI bought ArtX.  The GPU doesn't even do hardware T&L for fuck's sake.

True... but after seeing RE4, seriously, how different is that from many of the xbox360 games out there? There's a shitload of games with shitty graphics. RE5 just had a lot of blacks and reds instead of bluish greys in RE4. The wii can handle games of RE5 calibre. But there's no way it can handle stuff like GT5, Forza, GOW etc graphics. I'm also wondering if the wii would be able to push Halo 3 type graphics. (lagging on the other hand is another issue)

It's true that the wii is no where as capable of xbox360 or PS3. But as lucerinred has said, it's also capable of much more than people realize.

I've been saying all along, there's a few games on the PS2 and older that rivaled xbox360 games when they first came out. There were ones that were worse in general as well.

I mean fuck, Kameo? There's no way a PS2 can't handle that shit. DMC4? Well.. maybe not, but graphics wise, it wasn't "super" impressive.

Seriously, we've barely stepped up. While it's true old systems might not handle many of the new games, I put the comparison like a P4 3.0 GHz vs a C2D 2.0 GHz.

I didn't say it was capable of running MGS4 or anything, I just said it's capable of handling a lot more than it is being given. It's several times more powerful than the gamecube and most of the time the devs don't even give it gamecube level material. Look at stuff like Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy and it's easy to see that most Wii visuals don't even come close. And that's because devs don't invest the time and money because they don't consider it a selling point. But there's really no excuse for them being lazy.

thanks for reiterating my point fohfoh :)
