Got myself a new laptop

A few weeks ago I just bought a new laptop. Now it had an AMD processor in it and an ATI graphic card. Please dont shoot me down just yet. Let me explain the reason for getting this. It all boils down to the price.

Model: Toshiba P505D
CPU: AMD Turion X2 2.2Ghz
RAM: 4Gigs DDR2 800
GPU ATI radeon HD 3200
HDD 320gigs 5400RPM
LCD: 18" 1680x945

I got this laptop for $150.

With an 18" screen does it really matter that it has an AMD processor?  For a cheap DTR, I'd take a 2.2Ghz turion/hd3200 pairing over a 2.2Ghz C2D/G45 pairing any day.

It'll do pretty well as an HTPC along with some light, or somewhat old school gaming.

Ditto. The only thing though, I'm a little more wary of those things in laptops since I feel they run slightly warmer. Other than that though, they're decent processors.

150 isn't unbelievable. Naru probably got a good deal from his work place or something. Maybe it's an employee discount, or maybe the box was slashed to shit so he got a deal? I dunno.

For the record, I just got a new laptop for $300, and it has a single core Celeron. It handles 720 video just fine, so I think the Turion will do just fine. $150 is a heck of a deal. I'm assuming that it's used...

its new. It was in the back room where I work for about 3 months and the battery was missing. So I got it so cheap because of that. Later that week I cleaned out my back cage with all the laptops and found the battery on the floor..so I took it
