Error Mesage in torrent
« on: November 11, 2009, 04:00:54 PM »
I have the original files for a series from the fan sub group and when i noticed that there was a torrent for it i added it to my tracker. The files i have where named the same except for the _[31BA9E4F] at the end of the name so i renamed them with it. After loading and having utorrent check the files it said that some of the files where incomplete. It starts downloading and when the time remaining hits 0 i get an error message in the status saying error:Access denied. Heres the torrent im trying to do http://bakabt.me/149043-get-backers-a-e-s-f.html

Are you out of disc space?

You shouldn't have to download anything if you have the same files.

Oh, that's my torrent, maybe I can help. I know these are non-corrupted so it's a problem on your end. Which program are you using to download? Try using uTorrent if you aren't using that.

Although we probably used the same torrent, your files could've gone corrupt while being stored somewhere. Local HDD, External HDD or CD/DVDs?

Reboot your computer and try again.

Im useing utorrent. Don't think my files are corrupt since they still play with CCCP.

Did a reboot then a Force Re-Check on the torrent and the same files that came up missing data is still coming up the same.

On a different note i got a message saying that http://bakabt.me/148353-spice-and-wolf-ii-720p-frostii.html was swapped. After puting in the torrent and then the location where i have most of the files. One of them also came up missing data. Currently I have e these files on skip since its the only way to get the torrent to work without  having to worry about the error

For your S&W torrent, do you have Episode00 in 720p or still the 480p version? That is the very reason it got swapped (rejected and then unrejected).

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

No Thats the one file i didn't have at all. the one in that torrent was ep 1. I had the 480 but when this torrent came out i decided tpo delete it for the 720 so then all the files would be the same

Your missing file is episode 01 and not 00? Have you tried downloading the missing file directly from Frostii (again) and re-checking the BBT-torrent?

After you reboot, force recheck, force start.. do you still get access denied? What a/v or anti-malware are you using? Perhaps heuristics is set too high.

Since i have the problem files within the torrent on skip theres no error. Don't think its my anti-malware or more then just this would be coming up with this. But whenever i recheck the files the same ones keep showing missing data.

Try moving the folder to the root (if it's in deep path) and do recheck.

i wouldn't be so sure about that, have you tried disabling those programs? (including a restart, because most of the time they won't really exit if you tell them to)
i have seen the oddest things involving anti-virus/malware programs (including headcrashs *urgs* and being unable to move single audio files in a folder containing > 100 files of the same kind).

is the file marked read only?

http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=3044

I checked the files and all of them are only marked for archive.
