Too much anime to download
« on: November 19, 2009, 10:27:45 AM »
arghhh! There's too much anime to download on baka. I just bought a 1.5Tb HD last month and it's already almost half full.  :'(  There are so many 30GB++ torrents out there it's just crazy how fast the HD fills up.

^ This.

My I also add that our speed sucks. :P

Anyway I agree but if there wasn't what would you do when you ran out of anime?

I dont like to burn them on DVD. Then I have too many DVDs around. What I do is I buy a bigger HDD. Also I will buy them on DVD.

I require new hard drives!

Running outta space on these two.  I could delete some of the series I have on here that I don't plan to watch any time soon... but I know someday I'm gonna wanna watch em but not have em :(

Between my 2 externals and my laptop hdd, I've got 2.5 tb, which, for my personal tastes, is more than enough.

Still going to build that 6-10 tb seed box when I get to my new command, though. Why? Well, I'd like to say it's a way to give back to all the peers who've given me so much, but in reality, it's more of a "because I can" thing.  ;D

I cant get over how much stuff some people download(and keep)
I just couldnt watch that much during the week.Between work, looking for more work, going out
a night or two a week and other hobbies i just dont have the time.Plus i think it would get old
watching too much at a time.
My advice slow down.Enjoy what you have, delete old stuff you wont watch and try not to get
too backed up on your watching.

Well if you think about it, without the opening or closing credits, an episode is going to be about 20 minutes long. Estimate about 3 episodes an hour, so 12 episodes a night for many people is average, or about 2 series a week. I am not one of those people but I know the kind. If my girlfriend likes an anime, she has been known to watch an entire series in a single weekend, it makes it annoying for us to watch anime together :D. Either she gets way ahead of me and then I feel guilty about making her rewatch half of it or she gets annoyed about not being able to watch it.

You think that is bad? i got 700gb queued and i get 70gb a month. thats 10 months of leeching.... and my case cant hold any more HDD's. Im in australia too; and our speed is ok. nothing compared to america; but i get 500/kb a sec so i do burn through my months bandwidth in a week :(

The only reason I'm downloading now is just in case we have to remove the ADV series' again. I've already got 80 animes on my HDD that I've never watched and don't have the time to either.

I really don't understand why alot of people want to keep there series.
Most of the time I watch a serie or read a manga and just delete it.

Well I backup some comics and manga but it doesn't really take in alot of my HDD.
And if I'm such a big fan of it, I just simply buy it.

Of course do what you like, but think about this:
Am I really going to watch it all again.
