i rewatch a lot of series.
same happens to me.. If I happenly have seen censored and there will be uncensored version later available, I first watch the censored, then later uncensored..
Also if the current one is bad quality, again I rewatch it

And if the serie is VERY TOUCHING (like the end is tragedy and in final ep I got manly tears), I'll definitely rewatch it like 3-4 times (Elfen Lied ;))
also saving for my children if they happenly start to like anime. then I can proudly say: "heh.. I've already seen it :D"

they see me rollin', they hatin'..

i also try to introduce series to my friends who arent really into anime.  like recently i was watching Death Note with my ex.  she actually like it, but we watched it dubbed lol.  unrelated she dumped my ass.  so we never finished it.  but you get the point

Well if you know your going to watch it again.
Just keep it, it's a waste to delete it then.

I have some comics on my USB flash drive that I always have with me.
Most people at my work have it now also and enjoyed it.

Also I keep one HD with all my stuff as back-up.
It has all my portfolio work and favorite movies/comics etc.
It's fun to see it again once in a while and also to share.

Still I dislike it when people put alot of garbage on their HDD and keep it.
But perhaps they have sentimental values with that same garbage.

What's garbage for you might not be for someone else ;) My storage is shared on the home network, and I keep a lot of the stuff I don't plan on rewatching just because my sister wants to watch it, or might get round to watching it. If it starts running out of space then I start deleting the crap stuff first.

^ +1 for Kureshii
I do delete some series that I've stalled because its so boring/too long/no end in sigh/etc.. ex. Rurouni kenshin is one of those that I delete. Usually when I've watched the ep I just delete it cause It takes a lot of space from my HD :S and I dont want to waste ~ 4-5 DVD-R just for one hell long serie.. No thanks.. another sample is also Ranma: 7 seasons = 161 eps = total size: 26,97gb = 6-7 DVD :S noooo thanks :S

I really don't understand why alot of people want to keep there series.
Most of the time I watch a serie or read a manga and just delete it.

Well I backup some comics and manga but it doesn't really take in alot of my HDD.
And if I'm such a big fan of it, I just simply buy it.

Of course do what you like, but think about this:
Am I really going to watch it all again.
"Because i can" is the simple answer.

I have around 3.2TB now, watched most of it aswell, i even change an anime to a better release as they come out (DVD or Blu-Ray if possible)...even though i might not even watch it again ^^

I only delete show's i drop, since i obviously class them as shit  :P

I burn my anime off in case I want to rewatch it, which is not always obvious (I will often want to rewatch an anime after a couple years). I also end up sharing a lot of anime with my friends. If one of my friends wants an anime he/she mentions it and I tell them if I have it. Same with the converse. I want an anime and my friends will often have it.

I tend to keep everything that I download unless its utter shite or I buy the DVD. If I buy blu ray however I still keep the download so I can watch the film/show anywhere. :)

actually you can never have too much anime.. :) it only depends how many you have already seen of them. If you just download almost all series that are available, but dont watch a single episode, that I would call madness..  :-X

but currently I have approx. 200 gb anime on HD and about 60-80gb burned on DVDs.

I have bought two anime-boxes: Serial Experiments Lain and Love Hina.. yet Im still completely disappointment on both. the translation is f*ck'd, subs are horrible small and almost hardly read (probably vobsubs..)
Thinking that should I rip them on my pc.. who knows. :S

they see me rollin', they hatin'..

See, that's the advantage of being an SDfag -- smaller, good-quality encodes (like this one) + relatively cheap hard drives = lots of anime stored. I keep pretty much everything I download, except (R1) DVD-rips of shows I own on DVD. I will keep fansubs if I get the DVDs, for the different translations and historical value. While I do rewatch a lot of things, I don't rewatch that many downloaded files. Mainly it's shows I've first seen downloaded then bought on DVD, or else DVDs of shows I originally saw on DVD from blind buys. On some rare occasions I've rewatched downloaded files, or gone back and watched fansubs for shows I first saw on DVD.

No, the main reason I keep so much is to reseed and reshare, not so much for my own rewatching.

EDIT: I'm not seeing that many large torrents on BBT. Only 7 30GB+, and 17 from 20-30GB.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

+1 "Because I can" got 1,3TB of anime atm :)

But I guess it started back the in the DC++ era for me, since the more I had to share the better access I got with others who shared :D.

I'll probably just keep on adding HDDs, I used to burn DVDs back when I didn't have enough cash for HDDs. But I've moved all those DVDs back onto my HDDs.
I tend to share around me and I re-watch a lot as well.

I have once in a while deleted something I think was totally not worth it. Happens rarely since I feel bad about the DL bandwidth I used on getting it :p

Crazy ain't we all  ::)

5 TB and counting :)
I keep more or less everything (1 copy of each show) mainly because I enjoy collecting. I also act as the supplier for our anime club, lots of people there those taste are very different from mine.
Memories are meant to fade. They're designed that way for a reason.

I'll have to buy a HDD within the next month or two. I've already filled up 1TB of the 1.5TB HDD I bought two months ago

Well I did plan on getting a new HDD, but then I decided not to, I haven't watched all the stuff I have now and as I am one who watches and deletes after getting half decent ratio, no need for more space....well maybe I will get some for music...mmmmmm....

I always think - if I have downloaded it once, I can always download it again if I am willing to watch it again, if not I just delete it. I do have few movies  stored, but not much. Beside most of the time I don have tro watch it in the first time, not to talk about re watching all of it again.
