freeleech question *yes i read wiki*
kenshin-dono:
yes i read wiki, and yes i did a search, this question isn't answered on them
i know how freeleech works when its avalible and a forum search makes me think that in the past it was a system wide thing and now it lets you do it to INDIVIDUAL torrents..
first, is that true?
and second, how can you tell when freeleech is active? Im not asking WHEN it will go up, im trying to figure out if when it happens it will be system wide, on everything, or certain individual files, and if it is individual files how you can keep an eye out for it
i noticed by searching that the following are always freeleech i guess
- All Music Videos
- All Artbooks
- All torrents smaller than 100MB
- All torrents with an 'A' quality rating; the 1080p Bluray torrents.
but what bout the regular stuff, thats what im trying to figure out. Hopefully someone can clarify this for me, tnx
kureshii:
Short answer: It happens when we decide to let it happen. Just keep watching announcements, we'll post if it happens.
Freeleech torrents are clearly marked in the browse page.
kenshin-dono:
tnx, but im not asking when it happens im asking how you tell what is freelech
lets see if i can make it clearer.
1)Freeleech happens.. you will post something int he announcment page, right?
2) heres the real question, does that mean ALL torrents are freeleech at that point or will the specific ones that are be mentioned
saw your edit... i must be blind, i check browse and i see no tab or section for freeleech and doing a search for it doesn't bring them up. I see if you goto one that happens to be freeleech it will be tagged but i see no option to just browse by freeleech or anything. Thats what im trying to figure out
psyren:
We don't have a 'browse by freeleech' option yet.
It's amazing what happens when you phrase your questions properly. Perhaps try doing that the first time instead of making everyone think you're blind AND stupid.
newy:
Freeleech wil never have a browse option (at least it doesn't sound reasonable at the moment). IF all torrents are set to be freeleech ones then it's an event and only for a limited time... and then there is no need to mark them as freeleech. If the announce says so, it is freeleech. (I guess with the new tracker all torrents will have "Freeleech: yes" for that limited time.)
