Media Browser and Anime

Hi!

I was looking at Media Browser and wanted to have something like that for my anime. It has a nice way to browse series, with pictures, descriptions and more information about each one of them (see the gallery for pics ^^). The idea is to download all that from AniDB instead of IMBD or TheTVDB.com (which has very little of anime) but there's currently no tool for doing something like this. I searched in their forum and I found this thread. So, is there any program like Media Browser that works for anime, getting the information from a database like AniDB? How do you organize your anime files? I know you can keep track of your files in websites like AniDB and MAL for example, but I want something more like Media Browser, where I can browse the files locally and when I find something I want to see, click it and play it. There are lots of people who watch anime, someone has to know how to program a program/tool/plugin/whatever to use an anime database for organizing media like Media Browser ;D

there is tons of scrappers out there that scrap thetvdb. It does not have as much info as anidb. but last i checked anidb bans ip address for scrapping. There api only allows 3 lookups a minute or something.

Wow, that looks interesting. *installs* I'll be back with comments..

EDIT: Hmm, definitely nice to be able to read the summary, but it doesn't handle h.264 well, even though it seems to be using CoreAVC. Then again I'm playing 1080p. Softsubs don't seem to be appearing. I don't know if I can enable them somehow.
