Heh, seeing TTGL as serious business

I'll happily admit to loving it, but then again, I'm rather cheap when it comes to shows and if it has big explosions and ridiculously over the top action, I'll at the very least like it. So as TTGL is possibly one of the most over the top shows out there, while having lots of pretty colours to boot...
That said, it is lacking in the character department. Kamina is awesome, in a brash, loud-mouthed sort of way, but he's more a device than a character. And as a device, he works well, by giving the other characters an ideal and dream (and they do idolize a single aspect of him. It just so happens that that's also the only aspect we've been treated to throughout the series). Yoko is there, and ?. Never really see her do much, expect
Kiss the guy about to die
, now do we? Most other characters get so little screen time you barely get to know them. Given his upbringing, Rossio (mrrk, forgot spelling), is probably the most developed character next to Simon. It's just too bad that the things Rossio believes in
just doesn't work in the TTGL universe.
So there's Simon left, and in my opinion he gets some half-way decent development, turns into a pretty badass character who I'll cheer for all the way and that's it.
Now, back to the fights and the explosions, I'll be cheering those on all day long while characters and plot can go hang! Come to think of it, guess TTGL is a bit like The Expendables
