Helping to seed a newly accepted torrent.

If I have the files for a torrent all ready, Is there a way to go about helping to seed it without waiting 30+ hours for the torrent file to be released to the general public?  For example, I recently downloaded the arigatou blood+ series off their irc channel.  I figure I could boost my ratio and so forth if I was part of the pool sooner.

The only way I can think of (aside from becoming a power user ;) ) is ask the uploader for the .torrent file and add your passkey to the tracker url.
Not sure that will fly though.

Following up.  Working quite nicely.  I think.  I'm being efficient.   :)  Overall most people on this site have a reasonable number of upload/download connections.... avoiding the whole upload/download at .2 kB/s for a connection fiasco.  Power users more so.... so.  I think I'll dig out my copy of those who hunt elves.  pretty sure it matches the recent offer.  

Edit: My copy of those who hunt elves was an a4e release.  oh well.
